SEASON WRAP
Planning for the 2013-2014 season began in June 2013.
In a response to the growing numbers of junior participants,
the role of Junior Coordinator was split so that four Junior
Co-ordinators were appointed. Myles Foreman - Donna
D’Avoine - Jamie Pearce - Brian Sinfield.
In addition Kate Bonser, Angela Tomasin, Marianne Foreman
and Belinda Paine joined the junior team with specific focus
on organising events throughout the season. Belinda in par-
ticular managed the challenging task of rostering parents for
the canteen during junior games. Coordination of uniforms
was managed by Sharon Fittock.
Thank you to the Junior team and to the many parents who
assisted throughout the season in the canteen, at training,
pre game setup, during games, scoring and coaching. With-
out these many volunteers we would not be able to run a
junior program. THANK YOU
Our first event for the 2013/2014 season was the Commu-
nity Day and Come & Try Day held in late August. We were
out and about in the weeks leading up to the Community
Day, promoting the club and day the La Trobe Market, Mill
Park Playing Fields and Banyule Flats.
We had a great turn out and as a result welcomed a number
of new players and families to our club and welcomed back
many familiar faces.
With a focus on promoting our club and
junior program we even made the
local newspaper.
