BASEBALL VICTORIA AWARDS
At the annual Baseball Victoria Awards Night held at the MCG
on Friday 14 March the Baseball Victoria Service Awards were
announced.
Preston Baseball Club is very proud of our two Baseball Victoria
Service Award nominees who were nominated for service to
our club.
David Norris was awarded a service award for his 35 plus years
as loyal volunteer of the Preston Baseball Club at committee lev-
el holding position as secretary, vice president and committee
member . David also had a long and rewarding playing career all
up totalling some 45 years at the club.
Pamela Nelson, Djorgonoski. Was awarded for her 10 plus years
of service as volunteer hold positions as junior coordinator over
3 years during important rebuilding years in the early 2000’s.
Pam has also severed the club at committee level during these
years along with being the clubs most credentialed scores. She
has been instrumental in conducting many scoring clinics so as
to lift the standards of this important part of our game. Pam’s
involvement with the club spans over 30 years as a player, yes
one of the original Pirate’s ladies team.
The Service Awards were presented to David and Pamela by
Baseball Victoria Director Myles Foreman at the Preston Pirates
Baseball Club Senior Presentation Night held at the Darebin Arts
and Entertainment Centre on Saturday 15 March.
