JUNIORS REPORT
Consistent with our strategy to provide additional training
opportunities guest coaches joined us throughout the
season.
In late November Melbourne Aces US Import players Tyler
Massey & Ryan Casteel conducted a special Coaching
Session.
Jon Deeble coach of Team Australia joined us prior to the
ABL All Start Game in December.
We intend on expanding this program of additional training
opportunities in the 2014-2015 season with a special fund
being setup to help fund guest coaches.
Throughout the season we held a number of post training
functions which provided an opportunity for our junior
players and families to come together. These included BBQ’s,
Pie Night and Halloween Night. We intend on continuing to
build a great experience on and off the diamond and will
continue to arrange a number of post training events in
2014-2015.
In March after a season of Coach Pitch and T Ball training
run by several of our older junior players along with the
assistance of several parents our littlest Pirates went into
battle in a big way when they contested the Gala Baseball
Day at Cheltenham.
We won 5 games out of 6. Every player conducted
themselves in a manner that our club can be very proud of
and demonstrated great depth and passion for future years
as our youngest Pirates progress through the junior age
groups.
