SEASON WRAP
DIVISION 1 FIRSTS
It was an up and down year for our 1st team this year. Starting
on 3 wins in our first 3 games and then to lose the next 2 by a
run and the next 2 by 2 runs. It was a year of might haves and
should offs. The amount of games over the whole season that
we lost by a run or two. Just goes to show that we are building
something special.
Besides Bubbie on the mound we had great output by everyone
that played a game in our side this year. Steven Hood, And Josh
Bride new to our club performed well. Young players Dylan
Keough, AJ, and Luke Utting are starting to find their feet at
1st division level. This is the start of our new breed of rookie
pirates, who will help build our team to win a 1st division
premiership. With our experience players Masa, Evo, Blewjas,
Jorgo and our MVP and leading hitter this year Cam Deeble.
Cam had an exceptional year hitting close to .400 and in the
top four hitters in the league. His work in the outfield and the
effort he puts in off the field it is not a surprise that he played
so very well.
We are already working on next season and we will have a
surprise or two.
