RHIL 29/10/2025 Race 7 CHANDON HANDICAP 1300M Island Dream When questioned Rdr stated that he was instructed to settle in a prominent position however, despite being ridden along from the start, the mare did not display any early speed and settled back in the field. Std that when in this position the mare then raced aggressively through the middle stages and was one paced to the finish. A post-race vet exam revealed the mare to have sustained a superficial abrasion to the off-hind pastern. Stewards will follow up on the post-race recovery of the mare. W FM 24/09/2025 Changing Colours Rdr reported the mare did not appear comfortable on the Soft (7) surface and also found 1800m too far for its liking. A post-race vet exam revealed no abnormalities. Rdr reported the gelding not suited by moderate tempo from the 1100m and when the race developed into a sprint home, it was left flat footed and took some time to gather momentum, however finished its race off fairly.SCNE16/05/2025 Whinchat When questioned re improved performance, tnr stated with the blinkers on first time, he notified change of tactics for gelding to be ridden further forward, however had not expected to lead, but when anticipated leader did not show speed, this resulted in being able to lead comfortably and dictate the race which contributed to the improved performance. The gelding was then allowed to stride forward to obtain a position in the lead near the 1100m. GOSF22/11/2025 Naval Commission When questioned re tactics, Rdr explained no firm instructions and with little speed shown by other runners, after beginning well, allowed mount to stride and take lead. DOOM 15/11/2025 Casino Bear Rdr pleaded guilty to a charge under AR132(7)(a)(ii) in that she used the whip on nine occasions prior to the 100m, four more than permitted. Was fined $200. He said he attempted to make his run away from the rail to the outside of another rnr, however when that rnr shifted out when giving ground, he became held up behind it near 150m, then did not close off once directed to the inside of that rnr. Std he was able to improve round h/turn, where he positioned mnt to the outside, but it was not travelling strongly so elected to shift back in to make run closer to rail. Added mnt gave no response in early part of straight, but closed race off satisfactorily over final 100m, & in his opinion it raced as though it will be better suited over further. Patrons who appear to be aged 25 years or under may be asked for identification at any time by Security, Police or an ATC staff member. If identification is unable to, or refused to be produced that patron will be asked to leave the venue. Any minor found in close proximity to or using alcohol or gaming outlets will be asked to leave the venue. The person identified as being responsible for the minor (as per the NSW Liquor Act 2007 in relation to Responsible Adults) will also be asked to leave the venue. anTi-social BehaVioUR Any patron found to be disrupting the quiet enjoyment of other patrons around them by means of their actions or behaviour will be asked to leave the venue. 19 eMerGeNcy procedUres The Australian Turf Club’s aim is to provide the best facilities to ensure your safety, comfort and enjoyment. The Club has developed comprehensive procedures to deal with any unexpected emergency situation that may arise. Our staff are trained and experienced in dealing with emergencies and evacuations. They are dressed in ATC uniforms at various points throughout the racecourse. Assisting in an emergency will also be security staff and Police officers. Should an emergency situation arise, the alarm system will be heard over two stages: (1) Fire Alarm Bell – (RinGinG SOUND). This notifies the Fire Brigade; (2) Evacuation Alarm – (WhooP – WhooP – WhooP SOUND). This notifies ALL occupants to leave via the nearest safety exit under the supervision of the Emergency Wardens and proceed to the emergency assembly point. On hearing the alert alarm, patrons are requested to remain calm and prepare to follow instructions from the Emergency Wardens. Cloak room items will be secured for you to collect after the situation is over. Mobility impaired patrons, including hearing and sight impaired patrons, should make contact with an Emergency Warden as they may need a “buddy” to assist in the evacuation in the evacuation. On hearing the evacuation alarm, the Wardens will usher you to the Safe Assembly Area so it is essential that you follow their instructions. 20 (1) At a race meeting within the metropolitan area, a bookmaker is obliged to lay the odds displayed if demanded by the backer, except that the bookmaker is not compelled to lose on any one bet more than the amount Racing NSW may determine and publish as the minimum bet list entttled “Betting limits for on-course Bookmakers to comply with BR13”, as published on tts webstte and amended from time to time. (2) When the backer claims the bookmaker for a win and place bet which is greater than the limits prescribed by this rule, the bookmaker must bet the backer the proportional equivalent of an each-way wager. (3) At a race meeting outside the metropolitan area or at an audttorium or betting office, the committee of a club may from time to time determine the minimum wager which bookmakers must be bound to lay when betting on any part of the club’s premises. 21 Children are welcome at all race meetings held at Royal Randwick, Rosehill Gardens, Canterbury Park and Warwick Farm. On many weekend race meetings there is free children’s entertainment available. Children in the general admission area should be under the company of a responsible adult at all times. Children entering the Members’ Enclosure must be in the company of a responsible adult at all times and must be suitably attired. There are no restricted areas within the racecourse (except for ‘Members’ Only Areas’) however patrons under the age of 18 years of age (minors) are not permitted entry to the racecourse unless accompanied by their Legal Guardian or Loco Parentis. (Responsible adult). This can be in the form of: • A parent, step-parent or guardian of the minor • A person who is, for time being, in loco parentis to the minor. This person must be 25 years of age or older and be able to verify to the satisfaction of the ATC their relationship to the minor Definition of In Loco Parentis. The term “Loco Parentis” describes a relationship similar to that of a parent to a child; specifically it refers to an individual who assumes parental status and responsibilities for another individual, usually a young person, without formally adopting that person. Any minor found in close proximity to or using alcohol or gaming outlets will be asked to leave the venue. The person identified as being responsible for the minor (as per the NSW Liquor Act 2007 in relation to Responsible Adults) will also be asked to leave the venue. In addition to any action taken by the NSW Police, disciplinary action will be taken by the Board against Members and/or their guests who are in breach of the Liquor Licensing Regulations applicable to the ATC. Members and their guests must observe the Liquor Licensing Regulations in place at the Australian Turf Club. The ATC follows guidelines for the Responsible Service of Alcohol.
