8 STEWARDS REPORT Race 1 ST JOHNS PARK BOWLING CLUB 2YO CLARENDON STAKES 1400M The Roaring Sun Slow to begin. W FM 01/04/2026 Nations League Shifted out on jumping. Rdr reported the colt never travelled and was under pressure through the middle stages to maintain its position, and it was disappointing in the manner in which it finished the race off. A post-race vet exam revealed the colt to be displaying cardiac arrhythmia for the first time. Tnr rep was advised of the provisions of the RA Code of Practice under AR88B(2)(b). Vet clearance since received. RAND 27/12/2025 The Thorncaster Over-raced in the middle stages. E FM 18/04/2026 Lafite Raced keenly in the early stages. W FM 15/04/2026 Grafology Slow to begin. W FM 01/04/2026 Fondness Raced greenly under pressure over the final 200m. HAWK 08/04/2026 Race 2 TAB HIGHWAY HANDICAP 1500M Olympian Rdr reported after settling in a handy position and enjoying a comfortable run, he felt the gelding was entitled to close off better than it did over the concluding stages. A post-race vet exam revealed no abnormalities. RAND 18/04/2026 Aristocrat Began only fairly. Raced very wide and without cover until the 800m when being allowed to stride forward and settle outside the leader. ALB 23/04/2026 Whateley Near 600m had to be checked. MDGE 05/04/2026 West Head Underwent a pre-race vet exam and was passed fit. On jumping shifted out abruptly and bumped rnr. Near the 900m was momentarily tightened between rnrs. MDGE 05/04/2026 Oakfield Alaska Was slow into stride. SCNE20/03/2026 Breukelen Raced three-wide and without cover throughout. ARMD 29/03/2026 Jason Darren Passing the 1000m improved on to the heels of another runner, shifted out causing another runner to be inconvenienced and losing ground. TAMW 24/04/2026 Shyamalan On jumping shifted in and contacted another runner. Near the 150m was briefly tightened between runners. QBYN21/04/2026 Contaldo (USA) Near 600m hampered and carried wider. Post-race vet exam: slow recovery. P MQ24/03/2026 Missile Defence Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. QBYN21/04/2026 Classic Touch Rider was permitted to ride the filly 1/2kg overweight in accordance with the policy. Began awkwardly and soon after was contacted by rnr which shifted out. Raced three-wide without cover until passing 900m where allowed to stride forward and settle outside lead. GOUL11/04/2026 Ulysses Blue Bumped shortly after the start. RAND 14/02/2026 Treasure Hunter On jumping shifted out and bumped. GUND 12/04/2026 Mad Harry From a wide barrier was shifted behind runners in the early stages.TAR 21/04/2026 Walk The Pier Began awkwardly. App the 1000m commenced to race keenly and had to be shifted out to avoid heels, continued to overrace for some distance thereafter. ORAN 17/04/2026 Airliner After being loaded got its near-hind leg momentarily up on the running board and was examined by the Club’s veterinary officer and passed suitable to start. Began awkwardly, shifted out and made contact with rnr.. NOWR 05/04/2026 Race 3 MIDWAY BENCHMARK 72 HANDICAP 1500M Tambeloa Rdr reported mount over-raced in the early and middle stages and was reluctant to settle, resulting in the colt establishing a significant lead on the remainder of the field. 16 BOOKMAKERS BETTING OBLIGATIONS BR13 (1) At a race meeting within the metropolitan area, a bookmaker is obliged to lay the odds displayed if demanded by the backer, except that the bookmaker is not compelled to lose on any one bet more than the amount Racing NSW may determine and publish as the minimum bet list entttled “Betting limits for on-course Bookmakers to comply with BR13”, as published on tts webstte and amended from time to time. (2) When the backer claims the bookmaker for a win and place bet which is greater than the limits prescribed by this rule, the bookmaker must bet the backer the proportional equivalent of an each-way wager (3) At a race meeting outside the metropolitan area or at an audttorium or betting office, the committee of a club may from time to time determine the minimum wager which bookmakers must be bound to lay when betting on any part of the club’s premises. (4) Once a race has started, a bookmaker is not compelled to accept any bet or, alternatively, is not compelled to bet the minimum limits prescribed in this rule. 17 NSW BOOKMAKERS CO-OPERATIVE NOTICE TO PATRONS - AR.160BA GUARANTEE In respect of guarantees given by the NSW Bookmakers Co-Operative in respect of lawful bets made under these Rules in the Metropolitan and Provincial areas with bookmakers licensed with the NSW Thoroughbred Racing Board there shall be no obligation on the said Co-Operative to honour any such bet or bets unless the Claimant gives the Board written notitication of the non payment of such bet or bets within twenty-eight days after the date of the determination of the said bet or bets. BOOKMAKERS GUARANTEE LR84A In respect of claims made against a guarantee there shall be no obligation to pay successful bets unless a written claim in respect of such bet is received by the Board within 28 days from the date of the determination of the bet. The level of guarantee and conditions attached to the guarantee for each bookmaker shall be determined by the Board. GUARANTEE No person shall, without the permission of the Stewards; (1) transmit in any way from the grounds of a racecourse any betting odds being offered by bookmakers on any horse that is competing at a racecourse in Australia or elsewhere; (2) while betting is taking place on the grounds of a racecourse have turned on or use in any way at any of the following places on the racecourse any portable telephone, radio transmitter, radio transceiver or any other appliance apparatus Instrument or equipment that is capable of transmitting information: (a) in the Mounting Yard; (b) in the Scales area; (c) in any other area designated by the Stewards. (3) within the area of the jockeys room bring into, have in his possession or use any portable telephone, radio transmitter, radio transceiver or any other appliance, apparatus, instrument or equipment capable of receiving or transmitting information. “Any person admitted to the Hawkesbury Race Club thereby agrees to be bound by the Australian Rules of Racing, Local Rules of Racing, Rules of Betting and Rules and Regulations of the Hawkesbury Race Club Limited. The Rules of the Hawkesbury Race Club Limited are displayed on notice boards on the Secretary’s Office, Turnstile Building and Trainers Area.
