He said after beginning well and, bearing in mind his instructions, he did not pressure his mt in the initial stages, and as a result, another runner was able to improve to his inside to obtain a position outside the leader, resulting in him being caught three wide. He added the filly hit a flat spot rounding the home turn and took some time to balance up before finishing the race off well over the final 100m.
