CRAN 03/01/2026 Kiwi Harmony (NZ) Raced wide in the early stages until settling outside the leader near the 800m. Rider stated it failed to handle the tight home turn. Vet reported no abnormalities. Y VL 29/12/2025 Miss Navratilova When pace slowed near 800m raced close to heels for some dist. Held up from 400m & passing 200m was steadied when attempting to improve where not sufficient room. Cont to be held up until appr 100m. Rdr std instr to be positive & considered holding lead eary, however when another rnr showed intent to lead felt would have to make too much use of mount & allowed that rnr to cross near 1000m. Std after being crossed that rnr slowed tempo near 800m, then shortly after it commenced to give ground. Added whilst able to shift around that rnr was then held up when unable to improve until appr 100m. WOD 04/01/2026 Shapenapit Held up when unable to obtain a clear run from the 500m until the 200m. RR that he had been instructed to be in a handy position and in the early stages when a runner to his outside, showed intent to race forward, he elected to ease to obtain cover. He added through the middle stages when runners improved around his mount, he was unable to improve ultimately settled further back than intended. He added that whilst he had some difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the straight, the gelding responded to his riding fairly when placed under pressure.
