Tnr said his preference is for gelding to be ridden more prominently next start. RAND 06/06/2026 Poison Chalice (NZ) Rider reported that after his mount began well in a race that lacked a genuine leader, he took up the running, where the gelding travelled comfortably. He added that he increased the tempo from the 500m and moved away from the rail to find what he felt was superior going wider on the track, however his mount did not finish its race off, disappointing and the only explanation he could offer was the gelding was not suited leading.
