THE SCHWEPPES JRA CUP IS A GROUP 3 QUALITY RACE OVER 2040 METRES. The Moonee Valley Racing Club has a very strong relationship with the Japan Racing Association dating back to the inaugural running of the JRA Cup in 1993. Past winners of the JRA Cup have also enjoyed Group 1 success, including W.S. Cox Plate winners El Segundo and Maldivian, along with Alcopop, Mourinho, and Jon Snow. The 2024 Schweppes JRA Cup was taken out by Future History for Ciaron Maher. THE JRA CUP
