Moonee Valley Racing Club respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of this land, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung people of the Kulin Nation, and pay our respects to its Elders past, present and emerging. CHAIR ADAM LENNEN CHAIR’S WELCOME HELLO AND WELCOME TO LADBROKES FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS. We spectacularly launched the night racing season last week at Ladbrokes Manikato Stakes Night. A crowd of 10,000 packed The Valley and enjoyed a brilliant mix of racing and entertainment. Charm Stone delivered at long odds for Mick Price and Michael Kent Jnr in the Group 1 feature, while the loudest cheer of the evening was reserved for Pride Of Jenni, who thrilled the crowd by going back-to-back in the Group 2 Ladbrokes Feehan Stakes. Cheering For Charity also got off to a fantastic start, with Charcoal’s victory earning $2,000 for Myeloma Australia courtesy of Ladbrokes. Tonight, we hope to keep that momentum going for our charity partner, Breast Cancer Network Australia. Beast Mode set the benchmark in Heat 1 of the Ladbrokes 55 Second Challenge with a sharp 55.17. Series 1 will continue with three heats here at The Valley before the action shifts later in the season. This evening, we proudly recognise our Club 100 members at their annual dinner. On behalf of the Committee, I thank you for your unwavering support and wish you a memorable night. Excitement now builds towards the 2025 Ladbrokes Cox Plate Carnival, which promises to be one for the ages. It all begins on Friday, October 24, with Ladbrokes Gold Cup Night and continues into a historic Ladbrokes Cox Plate Day. I look forward to welcoming you back trackside for two extraordinary meetings at The Valley.
