TESTA ROSSA STAKES Trained by Dean Lawson, Testa Rossa started 28 times for 13 wins and more than $3 million in prizemoney. He won six Group 1 races including victories in the 1999 and 2000 Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes at Caulfield. Testa Rossa had a great rivalry with another star colt, Redoute’s Choice, whom he finished second to in both the 1999 Blue Diamond Stakes and 1999 Caulfield Guineas. He also had a great influence at stud, highlighted by his glamour sprinting daughter Ortensia; a multiple Group 1 winner on the international stage.
