He said upon straightening he initially intended to improve inwards, however then altered course outwards nearing the 300m. He added with his mnt still laying out he persisted for a run but was unable to place it under full pressure anticipating that the run would tighten which ultimately occurred near the 100m, whereby the gelding remained held up and was not able to be fully tested as a result.
