9 RACE 6 – ROANT TROBIS MAIDEN PLATE 1300M General: The start of this race was rescheduled by Sky Racing to start at 5:28pm. BRAVE HERITAGE (V Arnott): Began awkwardly, shifted out and contacted MILK FOAM. MACAVERTY (App. J Booth): Near the 650m had to be steadied, when tightened to the inside of MILK FOAM and consequently stumbled and lost ground. OPULENT OSCAR (App. D Barton): Slow to begin. On returning to the parade ring, the gelding shied and dislodged its rider. The gelding was quickly captured, and underwent a post-race veterinary examination, which revealed no significant abnormalities. App. D Barton was examined by Ambulance Officers and was found to have no significant injuries. MILK FOAM (App. L Maloney): Contacted at the start by BRAVE HERITAGE, on its inside. Rider pleaded guilty to a charge under AR131(a), for careless riding, in that near the 650m he failed to prevent the mare from shifting in and as a result MACAVERTY had to be steadied, and consequently stumbled and lost ground. App. L Maloney was suspended from riding in races for a period to commence midnight Saturday 5th September 2026 and to conclude Midnight Saturday 12th September 2026. 1 week, 1 Northern Territory meeting (ASTC 12/9/26). ZOUTARA (D Hirini): Raced in restricted room for a short distance after the start.
