It is a fitting way to celebrate 150 years. While famous races and great horses are central to the story of the MRC, ultimately it is people who create its history. Today gives us the opportunity to recognise those who have done exactly that. Our MRC150 celebrations will continue throughout the spring as we build towards another extraordinary milestone – the 150th running of the Sportsbet Caulfield Cup on Saturday, 17 October. The Caulfield Cup has occupied a special place in the sporting history of Melbourne, and this October we will have the privilege of writing its next chapter.
