First run in 1879, the Sportsbet Caulfield Cup has grown into one of the great events on Australia's sporting calendar. From Rising Fast and Tulloch to Let's Elope, Might And Power and more recent champions, the Cup's honour roll reflects generations of racing excellence and some of the sport’s most memorable achievements. Today, the $6 million Sportsbet Caulfield Cup is the world's richest 2400-metre handicap, with a record $3.3 million awaiting the winner. The 150th running brings together leading Australian and international contenders, each seeking to earn their place in the race's remarkable history. The day's outstanding racing programme also features the $1.5 million Group 1 Stow Storage Thousand Guineas, a race steeped in history and the Club’s premier contest for three-year-old fillies. The Group 2 Henley Homes Sprint and Group 2 Nationwide Tristarc Stakes add further quality to the ten-race card, while the Group 3 Sportsbet Harry White Stakes honours one of Australian racing's greatest jockeys and a two-time Caulfield Cup winner. Away from the track, we are bringing Caulfield's history to life with special MRC150 celebrations, heritage displays, entertainment and experiences recognising the people and moments that have shaped our Club over 150 years.
