A post-race vet exam on abs. Co-trn advised that he would have the gelding examined by his stable’s vet and undertook to report back on any condition that may have affected today’s performance. SAPH 13/04/2026 Martini Bandit When questioned regarding the tactics adopted, rider said that as the gelding has been getting back in its races, he was instructed attempt to make his mount begin today and consequently the gelding got away well and was able to take up a more forward position. Trainer confirmed the instruction and expressed surprise that the gelding was able to race as prominently. When questioned regarding the performance, rider advised that his mnt was under heavy pressure rounding the home turn and when a beaten horse soon after straightening, he desisted from unduly testing his mount for the remainder of the race. A post-race vet exam rev no abs. Trainer undertook to report back on any condition that may become apparent in the days subsequent but was told that a warning would be recorded regarding performance. Severly hampered roudning the home turn by another runner which hung out, slipped and fell before making contact with that runner. as a result was eased out of event.
