RHIL 01/04/2025 Metaphorically When questioned, rdr stated after settling in a prominent position, he placed his mnt under pressure passing the 400m, however there was a limited response and when it commenced to weaken noticeably he eased it down over the final 250m as he was concerned something may be amiss. A post-race vet exam revealed the gelding to be lame (1/5) in the near hind leg. Co-tnr was told a vet clearance is required prior to next race/trial. Co-tnr undertook to trial the gelding prior to racing again. Vet clearance since received. KENS 25/06/2025 Sessions Road Knuckled after beginning awkwardly. When questioned re tactics, rdr reported instructed to ride mnt towards rear to give it a chance to finish off. He said mnt failed to travel early and mid stages and prior to straightening he would have had to use the gelding in an attempt to tack onto the field. He added the winner raced in advance of him upon straightening, however in order to avoid being held up with the race leaders tiring due to the strong early tempo, he elected to bring his mnt to the centre of the track to finish the race off.
