Rdr was unable to offer any explanation for the performance of the gelding which was disappointing in the manner in which it closed the race off. A post-race vet exam revealed no abnormalities. CANT 18/06/2025 From The Peak Rider reported that it was not his intention to lead the race as he had been instructed to obtain cover, but after the filly began very well and when runners to his inside failed to muster speed, the filly was left racing in the lead. NCLE 07/03/2025 Miss Jones Rounding the home turn was bumped and taken wider. W FM 04/06/2025 Rach Bumped on jumping, and then was shifted behind runners from a wide barrier in the early stages. Rounding the home turn was carried outwards. CANT 18/06/2025 The Stars Began awkwardly. RHIL 26/02/2025 Vanlee Slow to begin. WYNG 31/12/2024 Writego Underwent a pre-race vet exam after being loaded became fractious & sat down momentarily, & was cleared to race. When questioned, rdr stated the filly led comfortably from the inside barrier, however its action deteriorated from the 400m & failed to respond to riding in the home straight. He had recommended to connections the filly may be better suited ridden with cover. A post-race vet exam revealed the filly to be displaying a poor post-race recovery. Tnr rep was told a vet clearance is required prior to next race/trial. Vet clearance since received. WYNG 31/12/2024 Race 2 ASAHI SUPER DRY PLATE 1200M Ernaux Began awkwardly and shortly after was bumped. Rdr reported he had hoped to obtain cover on the filly, however when other runners did not show the early speed he expected they would, his mnt settled outside the leader. He said the filly then travelled keenly through the early and middle stages and in his opinion will be better suited being ridden with cover.CANT 18/06/2025 Pyrolysis From a wide barrier was shifted behind runners in the early stages. GOSF 19/06/2025 Sequista Near the 700m, when overracing, had to be checked off heels. When questioned, rdr stated it was his intention to settle in a prominent position, however after the filly began awkwardly, it failed to show the necessary speed in the early stages to improve its position and as a result was quickly crossed. He added after being crossed, the filly then overraced and proved difficult to settle due to the moderate tempo, and once afforded clear running at the top of the straight it finished its race off strongly. Approaching the 200m when weakening, was brushed and inconvenienced by one runner which had shifted out to improve. vet NVA MORP 10/05/2025 Captain Maverick (IRE) When questioned, rdr stated instructed to ride mnt in a mid to back position, however when it commenced to race keenly in early stages, he elected to obtain cover at rear of field hoping this may help it settle. He said mnt was not suited settling at rear of field with slow tempo set through mid stages, then in home straight, when able to shift outwards, his mnt was inclined to lay out and away from other horses and he was unable to fully test it until passing the 200m. A post-race vet exam revealed the gelding to be slow to recover. Tnr subsequently reported satisfaction with the post-race condition of the gelding but advised it would now have a freshen up prior to racing again. 17 EMERGENCy PRoCEdUREs The Australian Turf Club’s aim is to provide the best facilities to ensure your safety, comfort and enjoyment. The Club has developed comprehensive procedures to deal with any unexpected emergency situation that may arise. Our staff are trained and experienced in dealing with emergencies and evacuations. They are dressed in ATC uniforms at various points throughout the racecourse. Assisting in an emergency will also be security staff and Police officers. Unless you are instructed otherwise, the Emergency Assembly Areas are located on the map below: In the event of an emergency, please remember: (1) Follow the directions of the Emergency Wardens; (2) Move quickly and quietly to the designated Safe Assembly Areas. 18 PoLicy The Australian Turf Club is committed to Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) across all our venues and endeavours to comply at all times with all the requirements of the NSW Liquor Act 2007. The Club is an active member of a number of Local Liquor Accords including the Eastern Beaches Liquor Accord and also the Rosehill and Liverpool Liquor Accords. The Australian Turf Club has adopted the following House Policy, which provides a framework for the Responsible Service of Alcohol. aLcoHoL coNSUmPTioN Patrons who are intoxicated or approaching intoxication will be refused admission to our venues. Patrons who are observed drinking upon approach to one of our venues will be refused entry. Appropriate and compliant signage will be displayed at all entry points. Patrons on board “Party Buses’, Limousines or Hire Cars with alcohol present will have their intoxication levels assessed by Security and risk refusal of entry to the venue. Any patron refused service by bar staff or identified by Security as approaching intoxication will be asked to leave the venue immediately as per Section 77 of the NSW Liquor Act 2007 UNDEr aGE DriNkiNG The Australian Turf Club recognises the following fonns of identification: • A driver’s or rider’s licence or permit (issued by an Australian State or Territory or any foreign country) • Australian passport or a foreign passport issued by another country, • NSW photo card (issued by Roads and Maritime Services NSW) • Proof of age card issued by a public authority of the Commonwealth or of another State or Territory for the purpose of attesting to a person’s identity and age • Keypass (over-18) identity card issued by Australia Post. Patrons who appear to be aged 25 years or under may be asked for identification at any time by Security, Police or an ATC staff member. If identification is unable to, or refused to be produced that patron will be asked to leave the venue. Any minor found in close proximity to or using alcohol or gaming outlets will be asked to leave the venue. The person identified as being responsible for the minor (as per the NSW Liquor Act 2007 in relation to Responsible Adults) will also be asked to leave the venue. aNTi-SociaL BEHaVioUr Any patron found to be disrupting the quiet enjoyment of other patrons around them by means of their actions or behaviour will be asked to leave the venue. TraiNiNG aND PromoTioNS All staff have been informed about their obligations in relation to this policy on Responsible Service of Alcohol and have been adequately trained to support this policy. 19 (1) At a race meeting within the metropolitan area, a bookmaker is obliged to lay the odds displayed if demanded by the backer, except that the bookmaker is not compelled to lose on any one bet more than the amount Racing NSW may determine and publish as the minimum bet list entttled “Betting limits for on-course Bookmakers to comply with BR13”, as published on tts webstte and amended from time to time. (2) When the backer claims the bookmaker for a win and place bet which is greater than the limits prescribed by this rule, the bookmaker must bet the backer the proportional equivalent of an each-way wager. (3) At a race meeting outside the metropolitan area or at an audttorium or betting office, the committee of a club may from time to time determine the minimum wager which bookmakers must be bound to lay when betting on any part of the club’s premises. (4) Once a race has started, a bookmaker is not compelled to accept any bet or, alternatively, is not compelled to bet the minimum limits prescribed in this rule. 20 Children are welcome at all race meetings held at Royal Randwick, Rosehill Gardens, Canterbury Park and Warwick Farm. On many weekend race meetings there is free children’s entertainment available. Children in the general admission area should be under the company of a responsible adult at all times. Children entering the Members’ Enclosure must be in the company of a responsible adult at all times and must be suitably attired. There are no restricted areas within the racecourse (except for ‘Members’ Only Areas’) however patrons under the age of 18 years of age (minors) are not permitted entry to the racecourse unless accompanied by their Legal Guardian or Loco Parentis. (Responsible adult). This can be in the form of: • A parent, step-parent or guardian of the minor • A person who is, for time being, in loco parentis to the minor. This person must be 25 years of age or older and be able to verify to the satisfaction of the ATC their relationship to the minor Definition of In Loco Parentis. The term “Loco Parentis” describes a relationship similar to that of a parent to a child; specifically it refers to an individual who assumes parental status and responsibilities for another individual, usually a young person, without formally adopting that person. Any minor found in close proximity to or using alcohol or gaming outlets will be asked to leave the venue. The person identified as being responsible for the minor (as per the NSW Liquor Act 2007 in relation to Responsible Adults) will also be asked to leave the venue. Prosecution by the NSW Police is also an option. LIQUoR LICENsING REGULATIoNs sMILE - yoU’RE oN CCTV Members and their guests must observe the Liquor Licensing Regulations in place at the Australian Turf Club. The ATC follows guidelines for the Responsible Service of Alcohol. Staff members are instructed not to serve any alcoholic beverages to guests under the age of 18 years, or to guests in a state of intoxication. In addition to any action taken by the NSW Police, disciplinary action will be taken by the Board against Members and/or their guests who are in breach of the Liquor Licensing Regulations applicable to the ATC. Members and their guests must observe the Liquor Licensing Regulations in place at the Australian Turf Club. The ATC follows guidelines for the Responsible Service of Alcohol.
