CLOAK ROOM Located in the General Office. FIRST AID Located at the rear of the Poplar Lawn, adjacent to the Day Stalls. DESIGNATED SMOKING AREAS Patrons can only smoke at the ‘designated smoking area’ shown on the below map. Also, for the comfort of guests, we ask that patrons please do not move tables fromtheir designated locations within the bar and dining areas. Rdr reported the gelding travelled comfortably throughout the early & middle stages &, although caught wide throughout the race, the gelding still travelled comfortably due to the moderate tempo being set on the early stages. He added that his mnt became under pressure passing the 400m and went to the line in a one-paced manner. He further added that, in his opinion, the gelding was not suited by the tight turning nature of the Wyong track. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. WYNG 18/08/2024 Knights Armour Passing the 250m brushed with another runner. WAGG 11/08/2024 Campaldino (NZ) Approaching the 300m was hampered and taken wider. A short distance later was further hampered and had to be steadied away from heels.W FM 21/08/2024 Futtaim Over the final 50m was not able to be fully tested when placed in restricted room. RAND 24/08/2024 Wagga Wagga (IRE) Slow to begin. Overraced in the early stages. SANH 24/07/2024 Really Serious When questioned, rdr reported after settling at the rear of the field, when the tempo of the event increased from the 800m his mnt was left flatfooted. He said after placing his mnt under pressure, rather than attempt to improve to the outside rounding the home turn, he was mindful of his instructions to improve to the inside to save ground and, therefore he remained to the inside whereby he was briefly held up before shifting inwards near the 250m, after which his mnt commenced to lay in before shifting outwards near the 150m where he was able to place it under full pressure. She contemplated shifting wider on the track, however, was confident that another rnr would take her mnt into the race. On straigtening she was held up & unable to improve her position in the early stages of the home straight. Rdr added that when approaching the 200m she was obliged to shift her mnt out to improve into a narrow run however, her mnt was reluctant to improve & she was unable to fully test her mnt until near the 100m. They are dressed in ATC uniforms at various points throughout the racecourse. Assisting in an emergency will also be security staff and Police officers. 21 POLICY The Australian Turf Club is committed to Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) across all our venues and endeavours to comply at all times with all the requirements of the NSW Liquor Act 2007. The Club is an active member of a number of Local Liquor Accords including the Eastern Beaches Liquor Accord and also the Rosehill and Liverpool Liquor Accords. The Australian Turf Club has adopted the following House Policy, which provides a framework for the Responsible Service of Alcohol. ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION Patrons who are intoxicated or approaching intoxication will be refused admission to our venues. Patrons who are observed drinking upon approach to one of our venues will be refused entry. Appropriate and compliant signage will be displayed at all entry points. Patrons on board “Party Buses’, Limousines or Hire Cars with alcohol present will have their intoxication levels assessed by Security and risk refusal of entry to the venue. Any patron refused service by bar staff or identified by Security as approaching intoxication will be asked to leave the venue immediately as per Section 77 of the NSW Liquor Act 2007 UNDER AGE DRINKING The Australian Turf Club recognises the following fonns of identification: • A driver’s or rider’s licence or permit (issued by an Australian State or Territory or any foreign country) • Australian passport or a foreign passport issued by another country, • NSW photo card (issued by Roads and Maritime Services NSW) • Proof of age card issued by a public authority of the Commonwealth or of another State or Territory for the purpose of attesting to a person’s identity and age • Keypass (over-18) identity card issued by Australia Post. Patrons who appear to be aged 25 years or under may be asked for identification at any time by Security, Police or an ATC staff member. If identification is unable to, or refused to be produced that patron will be asked to leave the venue. Any minor found in close proximity to or using alcohol or gaming outlets will be asked to leave the venue. The person identified as being responsible for the minor (as per the NSW Liquor Act 2007 in relation to Responsible Adults) will also be asked to leave the venue. ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR Any patron found to be disrupting the quiet enjoyment of other patrons around them by means of their actions or behaviour will be asked to leave the venue. TRAINING AND PROMOTIONS All staff have been informed about their obligations in relation to this policy on Responsible Service of Alcohol and have been adequately trained to support this policy. (2) When the backer claims the bookmaker for a win and place bet which is greater than the limits prescribed by this rule, the bookmaker must bet the backer the proportional equivalent of an each-way wager. (3) At a race meeting outside the metropolitan area or at an audttorium or betting office, the committee of a club may from time to time determine the minimum wager which bookmakers must be bound to lay when betting on any part of the club’s premises. 23 Children are welcome at all race meetings held at Royal Randwick, Rosehill Gardens, Canterbury Park and Warwick Farm. On many weekend race meetings there is free children’s entertainment available. Children in the general admission area should be under the company of a responsible adult at all times. Children entering the Members’ Enclosure must be in the company of a responsible adult at all times and must be suitably attired. There are no restricted areas within the racecourse (except for ‘Members’ Only Areas’) however patrons under the age of 18 years of age (minors) are not permitted entry to the racecourse unless accompanied by their Legal Guardian or Loco Parentis. (Responsible adult). This can be in the form of: • A parent, step-parent or guardian of the minor • A person who is, for time being, in loco parentis to the minor. This person must be 25 years of age or older and be able to verify to the satisfaction of the ATC their relationship to the minor Definition of In Loco Parentis. The term “Loco Parentis” describes a relationship similar to that of a parent to a child; specifically it refers to an individual who assumes parental status and responsibilities for another individual, usually a young person, without formally adopting that person. Any minor found in close proximity to or using alcohol or gaming outlets will be asked to leave the venue. The person identified as being responsible for the minor (as per the NSW Liquor Act 2007 in relation to Responsible Adults) will also be asked to leave the venue. Prosecution by the NSW Police is also an option.
