ASCT 02/12/2023 Think About It When qst re riding, rdr std strictly instructed to obtain cover, & after jumping well he restrained mnt for some distance in early stages. Std he was reluctant to roll forward to obtain a position behind leading pair as he felt this would result in mnt being caught wide without cover. Std it took some distance to obtain cover which was achieved at the 800m where mnt then travelled well, however tempo of race through mid stages was slower than expected & this made it difficult for mnt to make up appreciable ground. RAND 05/10/2024 Caballus When giving ground passing the 100m was steadied from the heels of another runner which had been taken out slightly. M V 27/09/2024 Atmospheric Rock Began only fairly. Held up for clear running from the 400m until passing the 150m where it became awkward on heels when being shifted outwards into clear running. After obtaining clear running then was inconvenienced when awkwardly placed inside heels.RAND 07/09/2024 Lady Laguna Soon after straightening was inconvenienced when taken outwards. Rdr reported with top weight his mnt was one paced under pressure in the home straight. He said the mare had missed an intended barrier trial prior to resuming and would derive benefit from this race. A post-race vet exam revealed lameness (1/5) in near-foreleg. Co-tnr was told vet clearance is required prior to next race/trial. RAND 24/08/2024 Climbing Star (NZ) Slow to begin. Held up from 400m until passing 200m. M V 27/09/2024 Mumbai Muse Rdr permitted to ride 0.5kg over weight. Began awkwardly. RAND 21/09/2024 Race 7 THE TAB EVEREST 1200M I Wish I Win (NZ) Slow to begin and then was crowded. M V 07/09/2024 Giga Kick Shifted out on jumping and bumped. RAND 05/10/2024 Private Eye From outside barrier shifted behind runners in the early stages. RAND 21/09/2024 Bella Nipotina Bumped on jumping. Passing the 200m was directed to the outside to continue into clear running. RAND 05/10/2024 I Am Me Began awkwardly. RAND 07/09/2024 Stefi Magnetica Bumped jumping. For a short distance approaching 100m held up. RAND 21/09/2024 Sunshine In Paris Shifted out on jumping and bumped. RHIL 14/09/2024 Joliestar When questioned, rdr std instructed to obtain cover expecting this would be behind another fav rnr. Std although mnt began well he allowed inside rnrs to improve whereby he obtained cover behind fav rnr leaving the 1000m, thereafter mnt travelled satisfactorily but the race tempo was much quicker than expected. Std mnt came under pressure rounding home turn & although it responded to riding it did not close off as strongly as expected, & it appeared to pull up without any issue & suggested it may have raced below expectations being second-up. A post-race vet exam revealed no abnormalities. RHIL 14/09/2024 Growing Empire Bumped at the start. Post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Rider questioned in relation to his riding on the colt over the concluding stages. Please see stewards report. M V 27/09/2024 Traffic Warden Shifted out jumping and bumped. Lost off-hind plate in running.RHIL 28/09/2024 Storm Boy Rdr std as start was affected his mnt lifted its front feet off the ground & as result was slow to begin, & it was further hampered at start causing it to become awkwardly placed on heels. Std after riding mnt along to obtain a forward position in early stages, he anticipated obtaining a position outside leader near the first turn, but when no one was being ridden to hold the lead, he allowed his mnt to continue to stride forward into lead near 700m, & although it performed well it was impacted by the work he was obliged to do in early stages to obtain the lead.
