HAWK19/02/2026 Totoka Underwent a pre-race vet exam at the request of its rdr and was cleared to start. Began only fairly. After passing the 100m shifted in and away from another runner and had to be checked when awkwardly placed outside heels. Rdr reported when caught wide without cover in the early stages, his mnt commenced to overrace due to the sedate tempo and for this reason, he allowed the mare to stride forward to obtain the lead. W FM 18/02/2026 Show Business When questioned, rdr std he was required to make use of mnt to cross another rnr nearing the first turn to avoid racing wide without cover. He said mnt came under heavy pressure prior to straightening & was disappointing in manner in which it failed to close race off. A post-race vet exam revealed mare to have a slow post-race recovery. Tnr advised the mare had pleased the stable & a forward showing was expected, but he did not expect it to settle so prominently & it would be his intention to have it ridden more conservatively next start. Tnr rep subsequently reported mare pulled up well. WYNG 10/02/2026 Unreachable Shifted in on jumping and bumped. Rdr reported it was not her intention to lead, however after the mare began particularly well, she took advantage of its early prominent position and settled in the lead. A post-race vet exam revealed abrasions to both hind legs. Tnr subsequently advised the mare will now be spelled following its two recent disappointing runs.
