At the entrance to straight, checked and became unbalanced when improving where a run did not exist. After being disappointed for this run, then remained held up until passing the 100m where it was directed outwards to obtain clear running. CANT 21/02/2025 Spice Prawn Commenced to improve to inside of heels entering the straight, and a short distance later steadied when disappointed for this run.KENS 13/03/2025 Wootton Lass Rdr permitted to ride 0.5kg over the allotted weight. Shifted out shortly after the start and made contact with another rnr, and as a result became momentarily unbalanced. A post-race vet exam revealed the filly to have a small laceration to the near hind lateral cannon and to be lame (2/5) in the near foreleg. Tnr advised the filly will now be spelled. Notwithstanding this advice, tnr was told a vet clearance will be required prior to next race/trial. Vet clearance since received. CANB 09/03/2025 Race 3 DRINKWISE PLATE 1300M Bold And Blazen Began awkwardly.HAWK 20/02/2025 Mission Gold Passing 400m shifted to outside of rnr to continue clear and made contact. Inclined to lay out from the 250m until the 100m. K GR 14/03/2025 Marais From the 800m was taken three-wide by another runner. As a consequence, the rider allowed his mount to subsequently stride forward to the outside of the leader passing the 600m. CANB 09/03/2025 Monte Veebee Approaching the 150m was hampered. RHIL 02/10/2024 Viktor Rider reported the gelding, which was racing first up with the top weight of 61 kilograms, travelled outside the lead throughout the early and middle stages. He said his mount responded to his riding fairly in the early part of the straight, but commenced to weaken over the final 200m. He added the gelding would derive fitness benefit from today’s first up run. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. NCLE 07/03/2025 Rubilace COT: To be ridden further forward; led. Rdr permitted to ride 1kg over the allotted weight. Began only fairly. A post-race vet exam revealed the mare to be displaying heat stress, which required treatment. Tnr was advised that a vet clearance will be required before being permitted to race/barrier trial again. Vet clearance since received. K GR 14/03/2025 Fleeting Spirit (NZ) COT: To be ridden more conservatively with cover; settled at the rear. Over the concluding stages shifted out and away from rnr. RHIL 26/02/2025 Race 4 BUY AN ARROWFIELD YEARLING HANDICAP 1800M State Of America Bumped on jumping. From its wide barrier was then shifted behind runners in the early stages. RHIL 15/03/2025 Inquiring Minds (GB) For some distance approaching and making the home turn, was badly held up behind a tiring rnr before being able to improve outwards just prior to straightening. Rdr stated his mnt lost crucial momentum at this stage of the race and was one-paced in the home straight. A post-race vet exam revealed no abnormalities. WYNG 11/01/2025 Don Pedro COT: To be ridden forward; settled off midfield. Rdr confirmed instructions were to ride mnt in a more forward position as notified to the Stwds, however despite being ridden urgently from the barriers, it failed to muster speed and settled further back than was intended. He said approaching the 1300m when racing three wide, he commenced to steady to attempt to obtain cover, however was forced to remain racing three wide when other runners improved to be racing to his inside, and as a consequence, was then required to travel wide without cover from this stage of the race.
