A post-race vete exam revealed the gelding to be stiff and short in its action. Tnr rep was advised a full vet assessment must be performed prior to having to barrier trial. Rdr reported the gelding, which was having its first Australian start after a long break, was one paced when placed under pressure in the home straight and will derive a fitness benefit from the race. A post-race vet exam revealed the gelding to be displaying a poor post-race recovery, mild heat stress and the thumps. Tnr rep was told a vet clearance is required prior to next race/trial. A post-race vet exam revealed no abnormalities apart from losing its off-fore plate during running. Tnr rep subsequently reported following its disappointing performance, the mare had pulled up satisfactorily and no abnormalities had been detected, and he advised the intention is to continue with its current preparation. RAND 26/07/2025 Unusual Prospect (NZ) Near the 350m was shifted to the outside to continue into clear running. HAWK 20/07/2025 Noises Rdr reported he was required to make some use of his mnt in the early stages from a wide barrier to obtain the lead. He said as the filly was first up today, the work he was required to do in the early stages resulted in it being unable to finish the race off, and it made a respiratory noise on pulling up. A post-race vet exam confirmed the filly to be making an abnormal respiratory noise. Tnr was advised that a vet clearance, including the results of an endoscopic exam, must be provided prior to next race/trial. Vet clearance since received.
