A post-race vet exam revealed the filly to be slow to recover. When questioned, tnr stated he had anticipated a forward showing from the filly, and in light of its disappointing performance it will now be spelled. W FM 20/05/2026 Airworthy Shifted out on jumping and made contact with rnr. CANT27/05/2026 Three Arrows (NZ) Rdr reported he intended on settling in a forward position, however after the gelding began only fairly and failed to muster as expected, he was obliged to settle in a midfield position. He added that when he placed his mount under pressure passing the 500m it failed to respond to his riding and, in his opinion, did not handle the heavy track conditions. A post-race vet exam did not reveal any abs. NCLE 23/05/2026 Alphard Underwent a pre-race vet exam after getting its off-hind leg up on the running board and was subsequently cleared to race. NCLE 02/05/2026 Willingham Near the 400m was bumped. Approaching the 200m was bumped. CANT23/01/2026 Zoufield Rdr reported he had hoped to obtain a prominent position and anticipated this would have been behind the leaders. Std as mnt was slow to begin at its most recent start at Warwick Farm on 11 March, he was positive on the horse in the initial stages to have it obtain a forward position. Std gelding responded to his riding and was ultimately able to lead. Rdr added travelled comfortably early & mid stages, however, in his opinion, failed to run out 1600m. W FM 06/05/2026 Wootton Way COT: To be ridden more conservatively; settled back. Shifted behind rnrs from the outside barrier in the early stages. BATH25/04/2026 Helen’s Way (NZ) Rdr was questioned re his riding in the mid stages, and the margin established and if there was opportunity to reduce the tempo. He std he was required to make use of his mount through the early stages to establish the lead from a wide barrier and after doing so he was unaware of the margin he had set. He added by 800m he felt his mount was travelling comfortably and responded well to riding in straight but gave ground over the concluding stages. SCNE15/05/2026 Ballpark Rdr lost the use of his offside rein momentarily soon after entering the home straight. Rdr reported the gelding travelled comfortably through the early and middle stages, however was very disappointing in failing to close off. When questioned regarding the improved performance, tnr rep stated after performing well first up, the filly then was not suited by the pace of the race when it performed below expectations at Kembla Grange on 29 April 2026. He said that, in his view, the primary reason for the improved performance was the filly was suited by the heavy ground.HAWK 21/05/2026 Lipstick COT: To settle further forward; settled midfield. 13 EMERGENCY PROCEDURES The safety and comfort of patrons at Australian Turf Club venues is of paramount importance. The Club has developed comprehensive procedures to deal with any unexpected emergency situation that may arise. Our staff are trained in dealing with emergencies and evacuations. Should an emergency situation arise, the alarm system will be heard over three stages: (1) Fire Alarm Bell – (ringing SOUND). This notifies the Fire Brigade; (2) Alert Alarm – (WHoop – WHoop – WHoop SOUND). This will be heard on each floor to notify Emergency Wardens to stand by and prepare for possible evacuation. (3) Evacuation Alarm – (WHoop – WHoop – WHoop SOUND). This notifies ALL occupants to leave via the nearest safety exit under the supervision of the Emergency Wardens. On hearing the alert alarm, patrons are requested to remain calm and prepare to follow instructions from the Emergency Wardens. Cloak room items will be secured for you to collect after the situation is over. Mobility impaired patrons, including hearing and sight impaired patrons, should make contact with an Emergency Warden as they may need a “buddy” to assist in the evacuation in the evacuation. On hearing the evacuation alarm, the Wardens will usher you to the Safe Assembly Area so it is essential that you follow their instructions.
