4 Useful Information Members Tipping Competition Free of charge and available only to Members of the Club, Members will be required to pick the last six winners on the race day at Thoroughbred Park through the Clubs website www. thoroughbredpark.com.au. The current prize is $99,000 which will jackpot $1,000 per meeting if not won until it reaches a total prize pool of $100,000. Full terms and conditions are available on the website. 5 Emergency Procedures at Thoroughbred Park You should take your immediate effects and proceed quickly (do not run). In the event of an emergency, please remember: 1. Listen carefully to the public address system, 2. Follow the directions of the Wardens and staff, 3. Move quickly to the designated Safe Assembly Areas. The safety of all who attend Race meetings and functions at Thoroughbred Park is of paramount importance. Canberra Racing Club staff are trained to effectively manage any emergency should one arise. Should an emergency situation occur, the course broadcaster will sound the alert over the public address system and issue instructions to all patrons. On hearing the instructions; patrons are requested to remain calm and prepare to follow further instructions from the Emergency Wardens. Emergency Wardens will be easily identifiable as they will be wearing coloured helmets. Mobility impaired patrons, including hearing and sight impaired, should make contact with an Emergency Warden as they may need a “buddy” to assist them. On hearing the evacuation instruction, the Wardens will usher you to the safe assembly areas, so it is essential that you follow their instructions. Unless you are instructed otherwise, the safe assembly areas are as shown below. Safe Assembly Areas A The grassed area inside the main entrance behind the public toilets. B In front of the storage sheds C The course proper (grass track) in front of the saddling enclosure. Accessed through the saddling enclosure. D For horse stall patrons, the area formerly known as the jockeys car park, which is at the back of the stalls but down next to (but not on) the course proper.

NCLE 23/04/2026 Star Of Lily The filly, which was fractious in the barrier and momentarily got a foreleg on top of the front gate, was examined by the Club’s veterinary officer and passed suitable to start. Trainer was told that a warning would be recorded against the filly. CANB 28/12/2025 Race 2 TOOHEYS HANDICAP 1000M Insane Volt Began very awkwardly. Passing the 900m was eased from heels. ARDL 21/03/2026 Discotheque Began awkwardly.BERR 22/03/2025 Vainstream Raced wide and without cover throughout the event. COOT 25/04/2026 Beau Rock The gelding, which was stalled alongside another runner which was fractious in the barriers, was examined by the Club’s veterinary officer and passed suitable to start. CANB 04/11/2025 Baby Daisy Raced three-wide without cover throughout the event. GOUL11/04/2026 Into The Fire Rounding the home turn became momentarily awkward on heels.CANB 17/04/2026 Jackets On jumping shifted out and bumped. Rider pleaded guilty to a charge under AR132(6)(c) in that she did strike her mount on 3 occasions inside the 100m when out of contention. Rider was fined $200.GUND 12/04/2026 Daulton Slow to begin. QBYN21/04/2026 Jacob Joe Passing the 50m after just establishing a narrow run between runners, had to be restrained when crowded. CANB 25/03/2026 Our Lady Rockstar Raced three-wide and without cover until passing the 800m when allowed to stride forward and assume the lead. QBYN 21/04/2026 Race 3 JOHN MCGRATH AUTO GROUP HANDICAP 1300M Mr Magnificence Overraced throughout the middle stages of the event. Rider reported that in his opinion the gelding did not appreciate the good (4) racing surface and did not let down as he anticipated after straightening. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have lost its off-fore plate in running and had sustained superficial speedy cuts to its off-hind leg. Trainer was advised that a warning would now be placed on official record due to the poor performance (Beaten 17L). GUND 15/11/2025 Obsidian Dream (NZ) Shifted out on jumping and bumped. PAKM01/05/2026 Race 5 SEEARS WORKWEAR PLATE 1600M Flats When questioned regarding the tactics adopted, rider reported that she was instructed to ride her mount forward from a wide barrier. She added that after beginning only fairly, the gelding was then slow into stride and, rather than urging her mount forward and risk being caught three wide without cover, she felt it would be more beneficial for her mount’s finishing efforts to shift in behind runners. GOUL11/04/2026 Hammett Shifted out on jumping and bumped. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding which weakened in the home straight revealed no significant abnormalities. Approaching the 200m, was eased and shifted to the outside of another runner to secure clear running. GOSF 09/04/2026 Shezain After travelling a short distance was hampered when crowded. Rdr reported when caught wide and without cover in the early and middle stages he was required to restrain the mare to be able to obtain cover, which resulted in it settling behind midfield, and it then did not close off the race when placed under pressure in the home straight. CANB 17/04/2026 Race 7 TAB FEDERAL 1200M Louie’s Legacy Passing the 1300m had to be checked from heels QBYN28/11/2025 Cliff House When qst re his riding in the early stages of the event, particularly whether there was an opportunity to obtain a more prominent position closer to the rail, to the inside of rnr, Rdr std that he had been instructed to ride the gelding towards the rear of the field and position it to the outside of runners, as the horse has a tendency to race keenly and needs galloping room. Trainer confirmed instructions. Rdr acknowledged that, in hindsight, he should have taken the available position to the inside of rnr when the opportunity presented itself.
