10 Stewards Report Race 1 RANVET HANDICAP 1600M Azarax (NZ) Rdr reported when the tempo steadied passing the 600m his mnt was obliged to shift out off heels, and it did not respond to his riding in the early part of the straight and when he became concerned something may be amiss, he did not test it over the final 200m. A post-race vet exam revealed the gelding to be slow to recover. Co-tnr subsequently reported satisfaction with the post-race condition of the gelding, and advised it was not suited by the tempo of the race and consequently overraced, and the intention is now to experiment with different gear. KENS 25/03/2026 Olympian From a wide barrier was shifted behind runners in the early stages. Passing the 400m, after being held up, shifted out and bumped heavily on two occasions and then blundered badly shortly after when placed close to heels. A post-race vet exam revealed no abnormalities. HAWK 02/05/2026 Coulter Raced three-wide and without cover until passing the 900m.WAGG 01/05/2026 Tequisoda Shortly after the start was bumped on the hindquarter. ILGR 05/05/2026 Spice Prawn When qst, rdr explained he had not intended to settle as far forward as he did, however the filly began well and settled in front of midfield but was unable to find a position with cover and instead was caught racing wide. K GR 09/05/2026 Lipstick COT: To settle further forward; settled midfield. Shortly after the start made contact with another runner. W FM 06/05/2026 Inyun Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages. DUBB 03/05/2026 Mamma Mia Raced wide and without cover until after passing the 900m. K GR 29/04/2026 Sablonneuse When questioned regarding his riding throughout the early stages of the event rider explained that he was instructed by trainer from the wide barrier he was provided the option to stride forward if his mount began well or settle towards the rear of the field if runners drawn to his inside showed superior speed from which he elected to do so when they did. Trainer confirmed these instructions and explained that she felt there was a strong amount of perceived pace in the race therefore she thought this would be most beneficial as to avoid being caught racing wide and without cover. WAGG 01/05/2026 Race 2 TAB HANDICAP 1100M Portico Began awkwardly. W FM 06/05/2026 Celtic Spy Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. Near the 250m was inconvenienced. Raced greenly in the home straight.WYNG 10/12/2025 Iambubb After beginning only fairly was bumped, the colt then shifted in abruptly and lost ground.
