A post-race vet exam revealed filly to be lame (1/5) in off foreleg & to have a laceration to off fore cannon. Tnr was told a vet clearance is required prior to next race/trial. V/C received. CANT 09/02/2024 Drama Dodger Slow to begin. WYNG 27/06/2024 Pink Shalala Near the 700m had to be eased from heels. Rdr reported the gelding, which was having its first race start, raced greenly throughout the early and middle stages and did not finish its race off as expected in the straight. A post-race vet exam revealed the gelding to be lame (1/5) in the near foreleg. Tnr rep was told a vet clearance would be required prior to next race/trial. Vet clearance since received. CANT 07/06/2023 Race 3 ADMIRE MARS AT ARROWFIELD HANDICAP 1100M Incarcerated Bumped on jumping away by rnr which shifted out. Near the 200m was bumped by other rnr when that runner shifted in.GOUL 21/06/2024 Zouripper Was slow to begin (2L). NOWR 26/02/2024 Love And Light On jumping was bumped by another rnr, which shifted in. Rdr reported when pressured by another rnr in early stages, mnt tended to overrace. Std the filly failed to respond to his riding in straight & was somewhat disappointing. A post-race vet exam rev the filly to be displaying heat stress. W FM 26/01/2024 Luna Field Rider reported that he did not anticipate settling in a forward position, however, with the addition of blinkers for the first time, the gelding commenced to overrace in the early stages and, despite is efforts, had quickly put a margin on the remainder of the field in the middle stages. As a result the gelding set too strong of a tempo in the middle stages to be able to finish off its race. He added that he recommended to connections to remove the blinkers for its next race start. A post-race vet exam revealed the gelding to be displaying heat stress. Stable advised gelding will now spell. WYNG 22/02/2024 Viaconi Commenced to over race leaving the 1000m and began to lay out. Rdr reported mount over raced throughout which had a detrimental effect on its finishing effort. A post-race vet exam revealed a slow recovery & gelding to have lost its near hind plate.DOOM 19/06/2024 Grassburn (NZ) Bumped on jumping. Raced wide & without cover until near the 700m. Near the 150m, when giving ground, was crowded. Rdr std he intended to obtain cover, but when another rnr always maintained a position to his inside, this prevented him from obtaining cover, & when caught wide he elected to stride forward to obtain a position closer to rail. Std after settling outside leader from the 700m his mnt travelled satisfactorily, but was unable to close off the race in the straight, & in his view it will be better suited when ridden more conservatively with cover. A post-race vet exam rev no abs.CANT 19/06/2024 Fiorenza In the early stages got its head up before being shifted behind rnrs from its wide barrier. Raced keenly in the early stages and was difficult to settle. KENS 12/06/2024 Patience Is Virtue Over concluding stages laid in & away from another rnr, which shifted in slightly & had to be corrected by its rider. WYNG 27/06/2024 Kilbady On jumping bumper another rnr. A post-race vet exam of the filly, which raced wide and without for the majority of the event and was eased out of the event near the 350m, revealed the filly to have cardic arrhythmia. As this was the first occasion, tnr was advised of the provisions under AR88B(2)(b). V/C received. KENS 12/06/2024 Our Little Star Began awkwardly, shifted in and made contact. WANG 20/06/2024 Whetu Rdr reported that her mount travelled fairly throughout the early and middle stages, however, commenced to hang outwards from the 600m and continued to do so until straightening. She added that whilst her mount performed tractably in the straight, it failed to quicken significantly and was disappointing in the manner it finished its race off. Tnr could offer no explanation for the performance and advised that the stable would monitor the gelding’s recovery before making a decision on its immediate racing future. A post-race vet exam did not reveal any abnormalities. NCLE29/06/2024 Mcgeehan Began awkwardly. NCLE29/06/2024 Mountain Guest Rdr reported the mare failed to handle the heavy track conditions and, as a result, weakened in the straight. A post-race vet exam revealed no abnormalities. NCLE22/06/2024 Semper Fortis Shifted out on jumping & made contact with another rnr. CANT 10/06/2024 Futtaim Raced wide in the early stages before crossing to settle in the lead near the 1000m. Rdr explained in the early stages he attempted to obtain a position with cover, however when caught wide he elected to stride forward. K GR 28/05/2024 Aiseirigh (IRE) Rdr reported his mnt travelled comfortably in the lead throughout the early and middle stages, but came under heavy pressure passing the 600m and commenced to weaken from the 400m. He added the gelding failed to handle the soft track conditions, especially given the fact it was a month between runs. NCLE25/05/2024 Wingardium Following the race, rdr was dislodged from the mare which then made contact with the outside running rail and as a result sustained a laceration to its neck. Tnr rep advised the mare will be sent for a spell. Tnr rep was told a vet clearance would be required prior to next race/trial. V/C received. CANT 23/02/2024 World Alliance The gelding, which made heavy contact with the fence in the parade ring, underwent a vet exam behind the barriers and was passed suitable to race. Held up from the 450m until near the 350m when shifting to the outside. Near the 350m had to be steadied and shifted out to avoid heels. HAWK 18/06/2024 Hi Dubai Stwds inquired into the reasons for the mare having to be checked near the 350m. After taking evidence from all riders involved, it was established that passing the 400m another rnr made contact with the mare. Near the 350m when racing tight to the outside of another rnr, had to be checked when awkwardly placed at that runner’s heels. In all the circumstances, Stwds were satisfied the interference could not be attributed to one particular rider. A postrace vet exam did not reveal any abnormalities. HAWK 18/06/2024 Elegant Empress Rdr reported that in her view the mare had come to the end of its preparation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to have a superficial abrasion to the off-hind medial fetlock. Tnr advised that the mare will now be spelled. W FM 06/03/2024 Troika Over the concluding stages laid in under pressure, requiring its rider to correct his mount. HAWK 25/06/2024 Euros Near the 100m was momentarily crowded. HAWK 18/06/2024 Look Only When questioned re riding over concluding stages and whether she had ridden her mnt out fully to the end of the race, rdr std when pressuring her mnt in the straight it was inclined to lay out. She said over the concluding stages she felt her mnt dip on a couple of occasions, which resulted in her stopping riding to balance up, and due to this she did not test it fully to the end of the race. Had some difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the straight. Leaving the 100m was hampered and taken wider. WYNG 27/06/2024 Scorched Land Began awkwardly and then from a wide barrier was shifted behind runners in the early stages. NCLE22/06/2024 Fun Sunday Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. K GR 20/06/2024 Princess Nefertiti Held up rounding the home turn. CANT 19/06/2024 Really Serious Shortly after straightening was awkwardly placed between runners. A post-race vet exam revealed the mare to be lame (1/5) in the off foreleg. Tnr rep was advised a vet clearance will be required prior to next race/trial. Vet clearance since provided. K GR 20/06/2024 Wecansay Dun When questioned, rdr std mnt travelled satisfactorily when able to obtain slow sectionals when leading. Std when rounding home turn and after beginning to place mnt under pressure, he immediately became concerned due to lack of response and shortly after straightening, when having concerns there may be something amiss, he desisted from riding over the final 200m. A post-race vet exam revealed the mare to be slow to recover. Tnr rep was told a vet clearance is required prior to having to barrier trial. V/C since received and barrier trialed on 3 occasions. When questioned re settling further forward than anticipated, rdr reported she had anticipated obtaining a position with cover, however when she was unable to do so due to the slow tempo, she was obliged to allow her mnt to stride forward and assume a position outside the leader. MRYA 28/06/2024 Flying Destiny Underwent a pre-race vet exam after becoming fractious in the barriers, reared and became momentarily cast, and was passed suitable to race. Near the 100m lost its rightful running and had to be checked.W FM 05/06/2024 Hanau Near the 700m was crowded. When qst re riding in straight, rdr std he attempted to make his run towards the inside section of track which he felt was superior. Std after obtaining clear running soon after straightening he placed mnt under pressure, however it did not respond to riding as he felt it would. Std nearing the 300m he had to reduce his vigour due to crowding, & was obliged then to shift outwards to continue into clear running. 16 EMERGENCy pRoCEdUREs The Australian Turf Club’s aim is to provide the best facilities to ensure your safety, comfort and enjoyment. The Club has developed comprehensive procedures to deal with any unexpected emergency situation that may arise. Our staff are trained and experienced in dealing with emergencies and evacuations. They are dressed in ATC uniforms at various points throughout the racecourse. Assisting in an emergency will also be security staff and Police officers. Unless you are instructed otherwise, the Emergency Assembly Areas are located on the map below: In the event of an emergency, please remember: (1) Follow the directions of the Emergency Wardens; (2) Move quickly and quietly to the designated Safe Assembly Areas. 17 POLICY The Australian Turf Club is committed to Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) across all our venues and endeavours to comply at all times with all the requirements of the NSW Liquor Act 2007. The Club is an active member of a number of Local Liquor Accords including the Eastern Beaches Liquor Accord and also the Rosehill and Liverpool Liquor Accords. The Australian Turf Club has adopted the following House Policy, which provides a framework for the Responsible Service of Alcohol. ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION Patrons who are intoxicated or approaching intoxication will be refused admission to our venues. Patrons who are observed drinking upon approach to one of our venues will be refused entry. Appropriate and compliant signage will be displayed at all entry points. Patrons on board “Party Buses’, Limousines or Hire Cars with alcohol present will have their intoxication levels assessed by Security and risk refusal of entry to the venue. Any patron refused service by bar staff or identified by Security as approaching intoxication will be asked to leave the venue immediately as per Section 77 of the NSW Liquor Act 2007 UNDER AGE DRINKING The Australian Turf Club recognises the following fonns of identification: • A driver’s or rider’s licence or permit (issued by an Australian State or Territory or any foreign country) • Australian passport or a foreign passport issued by another country, • NSW photo card (issued by Roads and Maritime Services NSW) • Proof of age card issued by a public authority of the Commonwealth or of another State or Territory for the purpose of attesting to a person’s identity and age • Keypass (over-18) identity card issued by Australia Post. Patrons who appear to be aged 25 years or under may be asked for identification at any time by Security, Police or an ATC staff member. If identification is unable to, or refused to be produced that patron will be asked to leave the venue. Any minor found in close proximity to or using alcohol or gaming outlets will be asked to leave the venue. The person identified as being responsible for the minor (as per the NSW Liquor Act 2007 in relation to Responsible Adults) will also be asked to leave the venue. ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR Any patron found to be disrupting the quiet enjoyment of other patrons around them by means of their actions or behaviour will be asked to leave the venue. TRAINING AND PROMOTIONS All staff have been informed about their obligations in relation to this policy on Responsible Service of Alcohol and have been adequately trained to support this policy. 18 (1) At a race meeting within the metropolitan area, a bookmaker is obliged to lay the odds displayed if demanded by the backer, except that the bookmaker is not compelled to lose on any one bet more than the amount Racing NSW may determine and publish as the minimum bet list entttled “Betting limits for on-course Bookmakers to comply with BR13”, as published on tts webstte and amended from time to time. (2) When the backer claims the bookmaker for a win and place bet which is greater than the limits prescribed by this rule, the bookmaker must bet the backer the proportional equivalent of an each-way wager. (3) At a race meeting outside the metropolitan area or at an audttorium or betting office, the committee of a club may from time to time determine the minimum wager which bookmakers must be bound to lay when betting on any part of the club’s premises. (4) Once a race has started, a bookmaker is not compelled to accept any bet or, alternatively, is not compelled to bet the minimum limits prescribed in this rule.
