KENS 15/05/2024 Kittano (NZ) Began awkwardly and lost ground. KENS 11/09/2024 Leconfield COT: To settle further forward; settled off midfield. RAND 25/05/2024 Omnic (NZ) Began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped. From a wide barrier was shifted behind runners in the early stages. Near the 800m had to be steadied when hampered by another rnr, which shifted out when racing keenly. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. NCLE 05/10/2024 Strong Trade From a wide barrier was restrained in order to obtain a position closer to the running rail. Passing the 100m, shifted out abruptly resulting in its rider being unable to test his mount for a short distance before being corrected. Stable representative was advised that a warning would be placed on the colts record for its racing manners. HAWK 21/07/2024 Superhero Slow to begin. Rdr reported although she was able to obtain a favourable position with cover behind the leaders, the colt had some breathing issues throughout the event and she believed this to be the reason for it not responding to her riding in the straight and then weakening over the final 300m. A post-race vet exam revealed the colt to be lame (1/5) in the off-hind leg. Tnr rep was advised a vet clearance will be required prior to next race/ trial. RHIL 02/10/2024 Race 2 SCHWEPPES HANDICAP 1400M Komodo Dragon Rdr reported the gelding tended to overrace throughout the middle stages and this impacted on its finishing effort. KENS 09/10/2024 The Three Hundred COT: To be ridden further forward; led. RHIL 02/10/2024 Colophon Rdr permitted to ride 0.5kg over allotted weight. Near the 950m had to be steadied when crowded. K GR 14/09/2024 Waterville Rdr was unable to offer any explanation for the performance of the filly which weakened in the home straight. A post-race vet exam revealed no abnormalities. Tnr rep subsequently reported the filly was found to have an abscess in its near fore hoof in the days following the race which may have had an impact on its performance. RHIL 02/10/2024 Full Metal Jacket On jumping bumped another rnr. Raced keenly in the early stages. Raced wide and without cover from the 800m. When questioned regarding the improved performance, Trainer stated that at its last start at Rosehill on 2 October 2024 the colt was unsettled in its preliminary and did not appreciate the soft track conditions. He added that today the colt presented well in its preliminary and appreciated the firmer racing surface. K GR 12/10/2024 Leconfield COT: To settle further forward; settled off midfield.
