BRAT 02/04/2025 Decadent Tale Shortly after the start was hampered. When the pace of the race reduced in the middle stages commenced to overrace near the 1400m and was steadied off heels. WYNG 19/03/2025 Tenbury Wells COT: To be ridden more conservatively; settled off pace. After making contact near the 150m, then shifted in and became unbalanced after making contact with another runner. A short distance later was steadied off heels. RHIL 01/04/2025 Race 5 HYLAND RACE COLOURS HANDICAP 1200M Flying Sultan Rdr reported the gelding, which weakened in straight after leading, appeared short in its action on pulling up. A post-race vet exam revealed gelding to be lame (1/5) in near-hind leg, to have a superficial laceration to near-hind pastern & to be coughing. A subsequent endoscopic exam performed by stable vet revealed a degree of blood in the trachea, which likely impacted its performance. Tnr advised the gelding will now be spelled. Notwithstanding, tnr was told a vet clearance, including results of an endoscopic exam, will be required prior to next race/trial. Vet clearance since received. CANT 18/09/2024 Little Cointreau (NZ) Near the 350m was bumped. Had difficulty obtaining clear running and near the 100m was eased when crowded and was unable to be fully tested for the remainder of the event.RHIL03/08/2024 True To Form (USA) Reared as the start was effected and, as a consequence, lost ground. Could not be fully tested over the concluding stages when inconvenienced. W FM 07/10/2024 Clear Proof From a wide barrier shifted behind runners in the early stages. RHIL22/03/2025 The Three Hundred A post-race vet exam revealed the gelding to be lame (2/5) behind. Co-tnr was advised a vet clearance would be required prior to next race/trial. Rdr reported he was advised to ride his mnt more conservatively & to attempt to obtain cover as it overraced last start with blinkers on. He said, however, after beginning well as he could not identify a position where he would be able to obtain cover, he allowed his mnt to improve forward to race outside the leader. He added without the blinkers on the mare travelled comfortably & was able to close off well in straight. K GR 23/11/2024 Miss Hades Bumped on jumping. KENS 26/03/2025 Eraantyva Rdr reported he was instructed to obtain a prominent position from the inside barrier, however his mnt began very awkwardly and as a consequence lost ground on jumping and was obliged to settle at rear of the field. He added rounding the home turn, when it became evident he would be unable to obtain a run to the inside, he elected to shift wider on the track to improve his position at the earliest opportunity, and whilst his mnt made up some ground, it found it difficult to make up any appreciable ground on the placegetters given the moderate sectionals throughout the event. Rdr reported that when placed under pressure in the straight, her mnt did not respond to her riding and raced flat. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. Rdr reported the gelding travelled comfortably in the early and middle stages, however when placed under pressure in the home straight it failed to respond to his riding and was disappointing in its efforts to finish off its race. He added in his opinion the gelding, which was first-up today, would take fitness benefit. A post-race vet exam revealed no abnormalities. KENS 13/03/2025 Silent Impact When questioned regarding her riding in the early to middle stages, app stated that she was instructed to position her mount mid-field with cover. She added that after being slow to begin she initially rode her mount forward to comply with her instructions and anticipated obtaining cover. She added however that her mount then commenced to pull hard and as a consequence she was unable to obtain that position and when her mount was trapped wide and when it continued to pull hard it went forward and passing the 900m settled outside the leaders where it raced three-wide for the remainder. 18 POLICY The Australian Turf Club is committed to Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) across all our venues and endeavours to comply at all times with all the requirements of the NSW Liquor Act 2007. The Club is an active member of a number of Local Liquor Accords including the Eastern Beaches Liquor Accord and also the Rosehill and Liverpool Liquor Accords. The Australian Turf Club has adopted the following House Policy, which provides a framework for the Responsible Service of Alcohol. ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION Patrons who are intoxicated or approaching intoxication will be refused admission to our venues. Patrons who are observed drinking upon approach to one of our venues will be refused entry. Appropriate and compliant signage will be displayed at all entry points. Patrons on board “Party Buses’, Limousines or Hire Cars with alcohol present will have their intoxication levels assessed by Security and risk refusal of entry to the venue. Any patron refused service by bar staff or identified by Security as approaching intoxication will be asked to leave the venue immediately as per Section 77 of the NSW Liquor Act 2007 UNDER AGE DRINKING The Australian Turf Club recognises the following fonns of identification: • A driver’s or rider’s licence or permit (issued by an Australian State or Territory or any foreign country) • Australian passport or a foreign passport issued by another country, • NSW photo card (issued by Roads and Maritime Services NSW) • Proof of age card issued by a public authority of the Commonwealth or of another State or Territory for the purpose of attesting to a person’s identity and age • Keypass (over-18) identity card issued by Australia Post. Patrons who appear to be aged 25 years or under may be asked for identification at any time by Security, Police or an ATC staff member. If identification is unable to, or refused to be produced that patron will be asked to leave the venue. Any minor found in close proximity to or using alcohol or gaming outlets will be asked to leave the venue. The person identified as being responsible for the minor (as per the NSW Liquor Act 2007 in relation to Responsible Adults) will also be asked to leave the venue. ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR Any patron found to be disrupting the quiet enjoyment of other patrons around them by means of their actions or behaviour will be asked to leave the venue. TRAINING AND PROMOTIONS All staff have been informed about their obligations in relation to this policy on Responsible Service of Alcohol and have been adequately trained to support this policy. 19 (1) At a race meeting within the metropolitan area, a bookmaker is obliged to lay the odds displayed if demanded by the backer, except that the bookmaker is not compelled to lose on any one bet more than the amount Racing NSW may determine and publish as the minimum bet list entttled “Betting limits for on-course Bookmakers to comply with BR13”, as published on tts webstte and amended from time to time. (2) While betting is taking place on the grounds of a racecourse, have turned on or use in any way at any of the following places on the racecourse any portable telephone, radio transmitter , radio transceiver or any other appliance, apparatus, instrument or equipment that is capable of transmitting information: (a) in the mounting enclosure (b) in the scales area (c) in any other area designated by the Stewards Notwithstanding the provisions of this sub- rule an owner present in the mounting yard immediately after the running of a race is permitted to use a mobile phone. (3) Within the area of the jockey’s room, bring into, have in their possession, or use any portable telephone, radio transmitter, radio transceiver or any other appliance, apparatus, instrument or equipment that is capable of transmitting information. 20 Children are welcome at all race meetings held at Royal Randwick, Rosehill Gardens, Canterbury Park and Warwick Farm. On many weekend race meetings there is free children’s entertainment available. Children in the general admission area should be under the company of a responsible adult at all times. Children entering the Members’ Enclosure must be in the company of a responsible adult at all times and must be suitably attired. There are no restricted areas within the racecourse (except for ‘Members’ Only Areas’) however patrons under the age of 18 years of age (minors) are not permitted entry to the racecourse unless accompanied by their Legal Guardian or Loco Parentis. (Responsible adult). This can be in the form of: • A parent, step-parent or guardian of the minor • A person who is, for time being, in loco parentis to the minor. This person must be 25 years of age or older and be able to verify to the satisfaction of the ATC their relationship to the minor Definition of In Loco Parentis. The term “Loco Parentis” describes a relationship similar to that of a parent to a child; specifically it refers to an individual who assumes parental status and responsibilities for another individual, usually a young person, without formally adopting that person. Any minor found in close proximity to or using alcohol or gaming outlets will be asked to leave the venue. The person identified as being responsible for the minor (as per the NSW Liquor Act 2007 in relation to Responsible Adults) will also be asked to leave the venue. Prosecution by the NSW Police is also an option. The ATC follows guidelines for the Responsible Service of Alcohol.
