CLOAK ROOM Located in the General Office. FIRST AID Located at the rear of the Poplar Lawn, adjacent to the Day Stalls. RAND 12/07/2025 Dollars Underwent a pre-race vet exam after the gelding pushed the front of the barrier gates open with its nose & was subsequently cleared to race. Blundered on jumping. Rdr stated in early part of the home straight mnt was held up for clear running, and passing the 300m shifted inwards to obtain a run, however when he observed another rnr laying in he didn’t persist into this run and his mnt then again became held up. Std he then shifted mnt out to obtain a run that had opened, but when he attempted to manoeuvre into this run both rnrs shifted ground, resulting in him having to check when crowded. Added when the gelding began well, she applied some pressure to it whereby she was able to obtain the lead passing the winning post on the first occasion. Rdr reported the gelding did not stretch out fully during the race and he believes it would be better suited on a track with more give. RAND 12/07/2025 Braveheart Shifted out on jumping and bumped. Rdr: he had concerns with his mount’s action over the final 50m and this prompted him to stop riding. A post-race vet exam revealed the gelding to be slow to recover. Tnr subsequently reported in his opinion the gelding raced too hard in the early stages which resulted in it weakening, but he was satisfied with its post-race condition and the intention is to drop it back in distance for its next race start. They are dressed in ATC uniforms at various points throughout the racecourse. Assisting in an emergency will also be security staff and Police officers. 17 POLICY The Australian Turf Club is committed to Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) across all our venues and endeavours to comply at all times with all the requirements of the NSW Liquor Act 2007. The Club is an active member of a number of Local Liquor Accords including the Eastern Beaches Liquor Accord and also the Rosehill and Liverpool Liquor Accords. The Australian Turf Club has adopted the following House Policy, which provides a framework for the Responsible Service of Alcohol. ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION Patrons who are intoxicated or approaching intoxication will be refused admission to our venues. Patrons who are observed drinking upon approach to one of our venues will be refused entry. Appropriate and compliant signage will be displayed at all entry points. Patrons on board “Party Buses’, Limousines or Hire Cars with alcohol present will have their intoxication levels assessed by Security and risk refusal of entry to the venue. Any patron refused service by bar staff or identified by Security as approaching intoxication will be asked to leave the venue immediately as per Section 77 of the NSW Liquor Act 2007 UNDER AGE DRINKING The Australian Turf Club recognises the following fonns of identification: • A driver’s or rider’s licence or permit (issued by an Australian State or Territory or any foreign country) • Australian passport or a foreign passport issued by another country, • NSW photo card (issued by Roads and Maritime Services NSW) • Proof of age card issued by a public authority of the Commonwealth or of another State or Territory for the purpose of attesting to a person’s identity and age • Keypass (over-18) identity card issued by Australia Post. Patrons who appear to be aged 25 years or under may be asked for identification at any time by Security, Police or an ATC staff member. If identification is unable to, or refused to be produced that patron will be asked to leave the venue. Any minor found in close proximity to or using alcohol or gaming outlets will be asked to leave the venue. The person identified as being responsible for the minor (as per the NSW Liquor Act 2007 in relation to Responsible Adults) will also be asked to leave the venue. ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR Any patron found to be disrupting the quiet enjoyment of other patrons around them by means of their actions or behaviour will be asked to leave the venue. TRAINING AND PROMOTIONS All staff have been informed about their obligations in relation to this policy on Responsible Service of Alcohol and have been adequately trained to support this policy. 18 (1) At a race meeting within the metropolitan area, a bookmaker is obliged to lay the odds displayed if demanded by the backer, except that the bookmaker is not compelled to lose on any one bet more than the amount Racing NSW may determine and publish as the minimum bet list entttled “Betting limits for on-course Bookmakers to comply with BR13”, as published on tts webstte and amended from time to time. (2) When the backer claims the bookmaker for a win and place bet which is greater than the limits prescribed by this rule, the bookmaker must bet the backer the proportional equivalent of an each-way wager. (3) At a race meeting outside the metropolitan area or at an audttorium or betting office, the committee of a club may from time to time determine the minimum wager which bookmakers must be bound to lay when betting on any part of the club’s premises. (4) Once a race has started, a bookmaker is not compelled to accept any bet or, alternatively, is not compelled to bet the minimum limits prescribed in this rule. 19 Children are welcome at all race meetings held at Royal Randwick, Rosehill Gardens, Canterbury Park and Warwick Farm. On many weekend race meetings there is free children’s entertainment available. Children in the general admission area should be under the company of a responsible adult at all times. Children entering the Members’ Enclosure must be in the company of a responsible adult at all times and must be suitably attired. There are no restricted areas within the racecourse (except for ‘Members’ Only Areas’) however patrons under the age of 18 years of age (minors) are not permitted entry to the racecourse unless accompanied by their Legal Guardian or Loco Parentis. (Responsible adult). This can be in the form of: • A parent, step-parent or guardian of the minor • A person who is, for time being, in loco parentis to the minor. This person must be 25 years of age or older and be able to verify to the satisfaction of the ATC their relationship to the minor Definition of In Loco Parentis. The term “Loco Parentis” describes a relationship similar to that of a parent to a child; specifically it refers to an individual who assumes parental status and responsibilities for another individual, usually a young person, without formally adopting that person. Any minor found in close proximity to or using alcohol or gaming outlets will be asked to leave the venue. The person identified as being responsible for the minor (as per the NSW Liquor Act 2007 in relation to Responsible Adults) will also be asked to leave the venue. Prosecution by the NSW Police is also an option. LIQUoR LICENsING REGULATIoNs sMILE - yoU’RE oN CCTV Members and their guests must observe the Liquor Licensing Regulations in place at the Australian Turf Club. The ATC follows guidelines for the Responsible Service of Alcohol. Staff members are instructed not to serve any alcoholic beverages to guests under the age of 18 years, or to guests in a state of intoxication. In addition to any action taken by the NSW Police, disciplinary action will be taken by the Board against Members and/or their guests who are in breach of the Liquor Licensing Regulations applicable to the ATC. Members and their guests must observe the Liquor Licensing Regulations in place at the Australian Turf Club. The ATC follows guidelines for the Responsible Service of Alcohol.
