12 Stewards Report Race 1 KEENELAND SEPTEMBER YEARLING SALE HANDICAP 1100M West Of Swindon Underwent a pre-race vet exam and was passed fit to start. Slow to begin. Approaching the 600m was inconvenienced when forced out. RHIL 22/03/2025 Extractor Began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped, shortly after was crowded. Rdr reported the colt raced flat and may have come to the end of its preparation. A post-race vet exam did not reveal any abs. RHIL 15/03/2025 Burma Star When qst re riding in early stages, rdr std was instructed to ensure obtained cover. Std from a wide barrier having re to instructions & with mnt racing in blkrs for first time, was reluctant to ride it along in early stages to obtain a more-forward position. Std shifted mnt behind rnrs soon after start where was able to obtain cover. Rdr acknowledged had been more positive on mnt in early stages, may have been able to obtain a position three wide with cover. Std with instructions given & how mnt felt in early stages, it gave him view it may not have settled if ridden in this manner.W FM 19/02/2025 Race 2 INGLIS XTRA BONUS MAIDEN SERIES HANDICAP 1300M Lady Pankhurst When caught wide and without cover in the early stages was allowed to roll forward to sit outside the lead near the 1000m. RAND 19/04/2025 Spice Prawn From the outside barrier was shifted behind runners in the early stages. CANT 06/08/2025 Enviable Rdr reported after beginning well it was open to him to ride the filly along to cross, but he was reluctant to do so as he was mindful his mnt may overrace and for this reason he elected to obtain cover, however when this runner eased to allow other runners to cross, this then resulted in his mnt settling towards the rear of the field. W FM 30/07/2025 Party Boss On jumping was contacted on the hindquarter. Passing the 1100m, after shifting in, had to be checked to avoid heels. CANB 09/03/2025 Race 3 TAB HANDICAP 1100M Kimberley Secrets Rider questioned regarding performance after proving disappointing last start also at Nowra on 23 February 2025. Rdr advised that his mount hung out throughout and did not respond to his riding in the straight and weakened inside the final 200m. A post-race vet exam of the mare did not reveal any abs. Trainer could offer no expl for the mare’s performance and undertook to report on the condition of the mare in the days subsequent and said that consideration would now be given to the mare’s immediate future.GOUL 23/03/2025 Mergeila Rdr permitted to ride 0.5kg over allotted weight. RHIL 02/10/2024 Tonkatsu Goddess Rdr reported that her mount was inclined to shift ground under pressure in the straight resulting in her having to correct her mount near the 200m. K GR 07/08/2025 Miss Passion Wide no cover for the majority. Rider reported although mare was wide he was disappointed in the manner it finished the race off and in his opinion, may have come to the end of its preparation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery. Follow up - Trainer advised that the mare pulled up well and has been sent for a spell SANH 20/03/2024 Southern Heiress Rdr permitted to ride 0.5kg over allotted weight. Shifted out on jumping and was bumped on the hindquarter. NCLE12/07/2025 Vanessi Lost its near fore plate. CANT 06/08/2025 Race 4 CAPTIVANT @ KIA ORA HANDICAP 1000M Kote Making the turn at the 800m was inclined to hang out. DUBB 10/08/2025 President Rdr reported after beginning only fairly and then with the solid tempo in the early stages, his mnt settled at the rear of the field, which was further back than intended. He said after placing mnt under pressure rounding the home turn when it did not respond to his riding, he eased it down over the final 150m. A post-race vet exam revealed no abnormalities. Tnr rep advised the horse was having only its second start following a wind operation, & he undertook to report back on the post-race condition and future plans. Raced keen mid stages, near 50m shifted & bumped. K GR 26/07/2025 Cambar Rdr reported her mount raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event and would derive benefit from the first up run, and it did not appreciate the addition of blinkers for the first time. A post-race vet exam revealed no abnormalities. WAGG 17/02/2025 Rantan Shifted out on jumping and bumped. Rounding the home turn was awkwardly placed inside heels, then was held up from the 400m until near the 300m where it was checked and shifted in to avoid a weakening runner. RAND 26/07/2025 Shalaa Gold COT: To be ridden further forward; settled outside the leader. Inclined to lay out when placed under pressure rounding the home turn. CANT 06/08/2025 Elegant Empress Final 100m couldn’t be fully tested when awkwardly placed near heels. W FM 02/07/2025 Mr Kennedy COT: Intention to be ridden further fwd if begins well; led. Rdr reported that, as notified to Stwds, the intention was to settle further forward. He added that after pressuring his mount in the initial stages to obtain a more prominent position, the gelding commenced to race keenly. He said that set a faster than expected tempo and was left without a finishing effort. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. W FM 06/03/2024

Rdr reported near 450m, his mnt’s action deteriorated and became badly unbalanced when shifting ground, and as he had concerns something may be amiss, he promptly eased it down and retired it from the race. A post-race vet exam revealed the gelding to be stiff and short in its action. Tnr rep was advised a full vet assessment must be performed prior to having to barrier trial. Vet clearance since received. RHIL 05/07/2025 Kapakiri Slow to begin. KENS 16/07/2025 Fairway Star On straightening momentarily raced tight. RAND 12/07/2025 Misterkipchoge (NZ) COT: To be ridden further forward; settled on pace. Began awkwardly. RAND 26/07/2025 Investment Bumped on jumping. When questioned re apparent improved performance, tnr stated he had anticipated a forward showing from the mare, which, being a genuine stayer, was advantaged by being stepped up in distance on a rain-affected surface on which it had previously performed well. Rdr reported the filly tended to overrace when left racing in the lead, and consequently it did not close off and raced as though it may have come to the end of its preparation. NCLE15/07/2025 Race 7 PRIVATE LIFE @ COOLMORE HANDICAP 1200M Tenderize Shortly after the start was bumped. RHIL 01/04/2025 Metaphorically When questioned, rdr stated after settling in a prominent position, he placed his mnt under pressure passing the 400m, however there was a limited response and when it commenced to weaken noticeably he eased it down over the final 250m as he was concerned something may be amiss. A post-race vet exam revealed the gelding to be lame (1/5) in the near hind leg. Co-tnr was told a vet clearance is required prior to next race/trial. Co-tnr undertook to trial the gelding prior to racing again. Vet clearance since received. KENS 25/06/2025 Sessions Road Knuckled after beginning awkwardly. When questioned re tactics, rdr reported instructed to ride mnt towards rear to give it a chance to finish off. He said mnt failed to travel early and mid stages and prior to straightening he would have had to use the gelding in an attempt to tack onto the field. He added the winner raced in advance of him upon straightening, however in order to avoid being held up with the race leaders tiring due to the strong early tempo, he elected to bring his mnt to the centre of the track to finish the race off. 17 POLICY The Australian Turf Club is committed to Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) across all our venues and endeavours to comply at all times with all the requirements of the NSW Liquor Act 2007. The Club is an active member of a number of Local Liquor Accords including the Eastern Beaches Liquor Accord and also the Rosehill and Liverpool Liquor Accords. The Australian Turf Club has adopted the following House Policy, which provides a framework for the Responsible Service of Alcohol. ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION Patrons who are intoxicated or approaching intoxication will be refused admission to our venues. Patrons who are observed drinking upon approach to one of our venues will be refused entry. Appropriate and compliant signage will be displayed at all entry points. Patrons on board “Party Buses’, Limousines or Hire Cars with alcohol present will have their intoxication levels assessed by Security and risk refusal of entry to the venue. Any patron refused service by bar staff or identified by Security as approaching intoxication will be asked to leave the venue immediately as per Section 77 of the NSW Liquor Act 2007 UNDER AGE DRINKING The Australian Turf Club recognises the following fonns of identification: • A driver’s or rider’s licence or permit (issued by an Australian State or Territory or any foreign country) • Australian passport or a foreign passport issued by another country, • NSW photo card (issued by Roads and Maritime Services NSW) • Proof of age card issued by a public authority of the Commonwealth or of another State or Territory for the purpose of attesting to a person’s identity and age • Keypass (over-18) identity card issued by Australia Post. Patrons who appear to be aged 25 years or under may be asked for identification at any time by Security, Police or an ATC staff member. If identification is unable to, or refused to be produced that patron will be asked to leave the venue. Any minor found in close proximity to or using alcohol or gaming outlets will be asked to leave the venue. The person identified as being responsible for the minor (as per the NSW Liquor Act 2007 in relation to Responsible Adults) will also be asked to leave the venue. ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR Any patron found to be disrupting the quiet enjoyment of other patrons around them by means of their actions or behaviour will be asked to leave the venue. TRAINING AND PROMOTIONS All staff have been informed about their obligations in relation to this policy on Responsible Service of Alcohol and have been adequately trained to support this policy. 19 Children are welcome at all race meetings held at Royal Randwick, Rosehill Gardens, Canterbury Park and Warwick Farm. On many weekend race meetings there is free children’s entertainment available. Children in the general admission area should be under the company of a responsible adult at all times. Children entering the Members’ Enclosure must be in the company of a responsible adult at all times and must be suitably attired. There are no restricted areas within the racecourse (except for ‘Members’ Only Areas’) however patrons under the age of 18 years of age (minors) are not permitted entry to the racecourse unless accompanied by their Legal Guardian or Loco Parentis. (Responsible adult). This can be in the form of: • A parent, step-parent or guardian of the minor • A person who is, for time being, in loco parentis to the minor. This person must be 25 years of age or older and be able to verify to the satisfaction of the ATC their relationship to the minor Definition of In Loco Parentis. The term “Loco Parentis” describes a relationship similar to that of a parent to a child; specifically it refers to an individual who assumes parental status and responsibilities for another individual, usually a young person, without formally adopting that person. Any minor found in close proximity to or using alcohol or gaming outlets will be asked to leave the venue. The person identified as being responsible for the minor (as per the NSW Liquor Act 2007 in relation to Responsible Adults) will also be asked to leave the venue. Prosecution by the NSW Police is also an option. LIQUoR LICENsING REGULATIoNs sMILE - yoU’RE oN CCTV Members and their guests must observe the Liquor Licensing Regulations in place at the Australian Turf Club. The ATC follows guidelines for the Responsible Service of Alcohol.
