13 Alexander Neil Calvert 1941 - 2007 The Warrnambool Racing Club will award an annual trophy named in the honour of former life member Alec Calvert. The ‘Alec Calvert Memorial Trophy’ will be awarded to the leading jumps jockey of the TAB Warrnambool May Racing Carnival. The trophy will be based on the following points system for each individual jumps race conducted throughout the event. First 5 Points Second 3 Points Third 2 Points ***Dead heats shall count as half points*** The Calvert family will donate a perpetual trophy to be inscribed with the winners’ details annually. The Warrnambool Racing Club in conjunction with Luke Jockey Saddles will compliment the award by supplying a saddle to the leading jumps jockey of the TAB Warrnambool May Racing Carnival.
