87 A widely respected and quirky political figure, Timothy Andrew Fischer’s remarkable career began as a platoon commander and ended in the Vatican as Australia's top diplomat. His greatest contribution in politics will be remembered as the key role he played in reforming Australia's gun laws, having known the damage guns could cause. Tim sadly passed on August 22, 2019, attributing his deteriorating health to the chemical Agent Orange he was exposed to in Vietnam in the 1960s. Tim was a founding patron of the Jericho Cup and will always be remembered for the contributions he made. Former Deputy Prime Minster of Australia and Vietnam Veteran Patron Bio VALE TIM FISCHER
