The Valley

Originally known as the Glenroy Stakes, the race was established in 1948 before being renamed the John F. Feehan Stakes in 1949 in honour of John Francis Feehan, who was instrumental in the formation of the Moonee Valley Racing Club in 1917. John served initially as Vice-Chairman, before later becoming Chairman until his passing in 1949. The winner of tonight’s Ladbrokes Feehan Stakes will receive ballot exemption into the 2024 Ladbrokes Cox Plate.
