The Moonee Valley Racing Club is proud to recognise the outstanding contribution of Brian Kruger to the Club and the broader racing industry with the inaugural running of the Drummond Golf Brian Kruger Handicap. Brian joined the MVRC Committee in August 2006 and served as Honorary Treasurer from 2007 to 2011, before being appointed Vice Chairman in 2015, a position he held until his retirement in 2017, when he joined the Racing Victoria Board as Chairman in 2018 until his retirement in 2024. During his tenure, Brian also chaired the Master Plan Sub Committee and served as a valued member of the Finance, Risk and Audit Sub Committee. A passionate racing enthusiast, he has raced several notable horses in recent years, including Adelaide Cup winner Demerger and Sangster Stakes winner Bel Mer. BRIAN KRUGER
