Raced tight for a short distance near the 50m. Rider explained instructed to lead and be positive however when runners improved to outside eased and trailed eventual winner. Rider added under pressure from 600m and did not shift out to improve. Rider acknowledged should have shifter wider which would have resulted in him obtaing clear running rather than being held up.
