HELLO AND WELCOME TO LADBROKES FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS FOR OUR LAST MEETING OF SPRING. It’s set to be another exciting night under lights, including Heat 6 of the Ladbrokes 55 Second Challenge, as everyone continues to chase the time set by Shirshov. Tonight’s Cheering For Charity partner is Legacy. It’s been a terrific initiative to have the Cheering For Charity horse chosen by the public each week, and I encourage everyone to get involved. Congratulations to jockey Damian Lane, who will tonight be presented with his award as the leading rider in the Catanach’s Jewellers Brent Thomson Jockey Challenge over the Ladbrokes Cox Plate Carnival. His four wins and three minor placings over the two meetings saw him secure the prize ahead of Mark Zahra and James McDonald. We’ve got a big December of Summer Racing coming up, starting with three Friday night meetings. With the weather warming up, and a fantastic range of dining options available, The Valley is the ideal venue for your end of year celebrations. I hope you have a tremendous night and I look forward to seeing you on track throughout December.
