It's a superb way to cap off an outstanding 2023/24 racing season at The Valley. Imperatriz returns to The Valley for the first time this campaign in her quest to defend her 3 Point Motors William Reid Stakes crown. The new Queen of The Valley is undefeated in four runs here, three of which have been Group 1 victories. The 3 Point Motors William Reid Stakes is one of six black-type races on the card. Other highlights include the Group 2 DCE Alister Clark Stakes, Group 2 BMD Group Sunline Stakes, and the Group 3 PKF Don Casboult Classic. Another feature on the track will be the running of the Shetland Pony Race. There’s plenty of entertainment off the track, including live music and Highland Dancers on the Front Lawn, and the Pit Stop Party Zone in the Piazza, with big screens, food trucks, and a pop-up bar. Group 1 jockey Ben Allen will be DJing after the last race at the Pit Stop Party Zone. I’d like to sincerely thank our members, partners, and everyone who has attended The Valley during the 2023/24 racing season. It has been a sensational year, with the season launch of Ladbrokes Friday Night Lights, where we witnessed record-breaking performances by star mares Imperatriz and Amelia’s Jewel, and Romantic Warrior’s thrilling victory in the Ladbrokes Cox Plate, among many highlights. Earlier this week, the MVRC was delighted to announce changes to our Spring Carnival program, setting up an exciting 2024/25 season at The Valley, and I look forward to seeing you back on track.
