When questioned in relation to the riding tactics adopted today, rider reported that she was instructed to be in the first four. After being slow to begin, her mount overraced in the early stages, and when Yellow Sam was to her inside and overracing, she was hopeful of that mare striding forward, which would have enabled her to take up a position behind that horse.
