I am delighted to welcome you to The Valley for our Lunar New Year meeting, powered by Alinta Energy, as we celebrate the Year of the Dragon. The Moonee Valley Racing Club is thrilled to collaborate for the ninth consecutive year with the Australian Chinese Jockey Club (ACJC) to bring a cultural extravaganza to the races. I also want to express my gratitude to our race night sponsor, Alinta Energy, for their generous support in making The Valley's vibrant celebration possible. It’s always a spectacular evening, with Chinese Drummers, Lion Dance partnered by Carrazzo Consulting, and live music on the Burston Lawn. A highlight in 2023 was the inaugural running of the Alinta Energy Lunar New Year Sprint over the 888m and the electric sprint is once again a feature on the card. Thank you for being a part of the Lunar New Year celebrations.
