MAUREEN SALTER MOONEE VALLEY LIFE MEMBER Inductee The Moonee Valley Racing Club is honoured to award Life Membership to Maureen Salter. Maureen is one of our first three long-serving female financial members to be inducted as a Life Member in a historic occasion for the Club. Maureen has shared some of her favourite memories at The Valley. “My favourite Moonee Valley moment/memories is probably of the fun times my husband and I used to have on every Cox Plate Day in setting up a large car park picnic in front of Ian McEwen’s old house and celebrating the day with a large group of racing friends. My favourite Cox Plate memory – there are so many because it is the best WFA race in Australia and it’s won by the best horses – The year Kingston Town won it on his 3rd occasion and no one thought he could win because he had to come from so far behind, but because he was the best of his time he could do it.”
