I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our members and partners for their support as we head into the new season. Today we recognise the long-standing support of five Moonee Valley Racing Club members who have been inducted as Life Members, with races named in their honour. Congratulations also to Jamie Kah, who claimed the 2022/23 Catanach’s Jewellers Jockey Premiership as the leading rider at The Valley, and to all the Victorian premiership-winning jockeys and trainers for last season. We are set for a big day, with 10 races now on the card for Saturday race meetings. For families on track, we’re excited to introduce our Junior Jocks mascot, Crossword. The adorable Shetland pony will be on course, and children will be able to meet our newest team member. NOMINATIONS WERE RECEIVED FOR THE 2023 LADBROKES COX PLATE DURING THE WEEK, HEIGHTENING ANTICIPATION FOR AUSTRALIA’S BEST RACE.
