THE COMPETITION IS SUPPORTED BY RACING CLUBS ACROSS THE STATE INCLUDING CRANBOURNE, PAKENHAM, MOE, YARRA GLEN, DONALD, BENALLA, GEELONG, WARRNAMBOOL AND PENSHURST WHERE QUALIFICATION TRIALS ARE RUN. The best 20 riders have the thrill of competing on the turf at The Valley each spring with the hope of becoming the next Ride To Time State Champion. For all riders, the opportunity to be a part of this amazing experience is something they cherish for a lifetime. The competition has two sections, Open and Maiden. Open riders complete 1000m in the optimum time of 109 seconds. Maiden riders complete 1000m in 120 seconds. Many pony club competitors will connect with the racing industry and begin a journey as a track rider, jockey, stable hand to name a few, through participation in this discipline.
