WELCOME TO LADBROKES FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS AT SOUTHSIDE PAKENHAM. Last week, we held the first of our transferred meetings at Southside Cranbourne. Thank you to all our members who joined us on course or gathered in the Members’ Hub at Legends to enjoy the racing action. A highlight of the evening was seeing our Cheering For Charity horse, Lyrics ‘N’ Song, cross the line first, earning our charity partner for the night, Challenge, a $2,000 donation courtesy of Ladbrokes. It’s been a big week in racing with the Melbourne Cup Carnival. Congratulations to Tony and Calvin McEvoy on their win in Tuesday’s Melbourne Cup with Half Yours, and Jamie Melham on becoming the second female jockey to win the Cup a decade after Michelle Payne’s triumph. Tomorrow, we look forward to seeing the back-to-back Ladbrokes Cox Plate champion Via Sistina line up in the Champions Stakes. Our transferred meetings continue next week, this time on the other side of the bay, with an exciting afternoon of racing at Geelong.
