HELLO AND WELCOME TO CHARTER KECK CRAMER MOIR STAKES DAY AT THE VALLEY. Spring has arrived, and today we have a tremendous 10-race card, headlined by the 50th running of the Group 1 Charter Keck Cramer Moir Stakes. This weight-for-age sprint over 1000 metres has once again drawn a quality field. Supporting the feature are three Listed races, with the Musk Creek Farm Atlantic Jewel Stakes, McMahon’s Dairy McKenzie Stakes, and Orbit Logistics Chautauqua Stakes, along with the second running of the Ranvet So You Think Stakes. It sets the stage for an outstanding afternoon of racing. Today also marks the launch of the 2025 Cox Plate Carnival Charity Pin in partnership with Myeloma Australia. We are proud to enter the second year of this partnership with the nation’s only myeloma-specific not-for-profit organisation. Around 22,000 Australians are living with myeloma, and thanks to your support, we raised $130,000 in 2024. Our goal is to exceed that figure this year. Pins are available on course throughout the Carnival for $10. Beyond the racing, there is plenty for families to enjoy, including carnival rides, face painting, a magician, and the ever-popular Crossword the Shetland Pony. On track, the State Championships of Ride To Time will showcase the skills of Pony Club Victoria riders, with the Maiden class competing before the first race and the Open class taking place between races two and three. We trust you enjoy a fantastic day at The Valley and look forward to welcoming you back across the Spring Carnival. CHAIR ADAM LENNEN CHAIR’S WELCOME Moonee Valley Racing Club respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of this land, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung people of the Kulin Nation, and pay our respects to its Elders past, present and emerging.
