GOOD EVENING, AND WELCOME TO LADBROKES FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS! Last week, we kicked off the Ladbrokes Friday Night Lights season in spectacular fashion with a fantastic crowd for Group 1 Ladbrokes Manikato Stakes Night. Tonight, we are proud to support the Leila Rose Foundation as our Cheering For Charity partner. This season kicked off brilliantly, with Myeloma Australia receiving $2,000 from our Principal Partner, Ladbrokes, after Evaporate’s victory. We’re also delighted to be hosting the Annual Club 100 Dinner in the Committee Room. This is always a highlight on our calendar, and we thank all our members for their unwavering support. Don’t forget to test your skills in the Ladbrokes Legendary Putt competition. Last week brought plenty of excitement, despite the hole-in-one remaining elusive. As we look ahead, we’re now just three weeks out from the highly anticipated Ladbrokes Cox Plate Carnival. Next week, we will receive third acceptances for the Ladbrokes Cox Plate, and it was an honour to recently announce two-time Cox Plate-winning jockey James McDonald as one of this year’s Carnival ambassadors. The excitement is building, and I can’t wait to welcome you back here on October 25 for Ladbrokes Gold Cup Night. CHAIR ADAM LENNEN CHAIR’S WELCOME Moonee Valley Racing Club respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of this land, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung people of the Kulin Nation, and pay our respects to its Elders past, present and emerging.
