45 DON CASBOULT THE ORBIT LOGISTICS DON CASBOULT CLASSIC IS A GROUP 3 SET WEIGHTS PLUS PENALTIES RACE FOR THREE YEAR OLD FILLIES The Moonee Valley Racing Club recognises former Chairman Don Casboult, who joined the Committee in 2005. He served as Vice Chairman from 2007 to 2015 before assuming the role of Chairman in 2015. During his eight-year tenure as Chairman, he steered the Club through its most challenging and successful periods, always prioritising the Club’s best interests. His dedication was evident during milestone events such as the 100th running of the W.S. Cox Plate in 2020 and the Centenary W.S. Cox Plate celebration in 2022, further highlighting the race’s status as ‘Australia’s Best Race’ under his leadership.
