A postrace vet exam revealed the mare to be lame in the off hind leg and a post-race endoscopy detected a throat condition and a degree of mucus that may have affected the mare’s racing performance. Further, the presence of blood was identified in the right nostril which was attributable to external trauma. Tnr was told a vet clearance will be required prior to racing again.
