4 COVID SAFE @ THE VALLEY In consultation with the State Government and Racing Victoria, the Moonee Valley Racing Club has introduced specific safety measures and protocols in an effort to safeguard the health, safety and wellbeing of persons attending The Valley. It is in the interest of those attending The Valley to comply with the safety measures that have been put in place. MVRC reserves the right to refuse entry to or remove any individual failing to comply with these safety measures. You must bring a mask and wear it indoors when not drinking or eating. The safety measures are intended to minimise the risk of contracting the Covid-19 virus, but this risk cannot be completely eradicated. Visitors enter Moonee Valley Racing Club venues at their own risk. MVRC encourages everyone entering the venue to download and use the Australian Government’s COVID-safe app. Visitors are not permitted to attend The Valley if they: a) are feeling unwell, subject to any COVID-19 symptoms including fever, cough, sore/scratchy throat, shortness of breath, loss of smell/taste, runny nose, muscle pain, nausea/vomiting, diarrhoea; b) have been in close contact with a person who has tested positive for COVID-19 (during the period of time in which the virus is contagious); c) are awaiting the results of a test for COVID-19 or reside with anyone who is awaiting the results of a test for COVID-19; d) have visited an exposure site as listed on the DHHS website (https://www.dhhs. vic.gov.au/case-locations-and-outbreaks-covid-19); e) have returned from international travel and failed to observe the government requirement to quarantine for 14 days. Visitors must: a) provide MVRC with their name and contact details prior to arrival and consent to the MVRC providing such details to the Department of Health and Human Services Victoria or any other third-party government department, to enable contact tracing procedures if directed; b) immediately notify a MVRC staff member if they become unwell and develop symptoms of COVID-19; c) maintain social distancing of 1.5m from people outside your immediate group of guests; d) practice high-level hand hygiene; e) carry a mask with them at all times and appropriately wear the mask as per Victorian Health guidelines; f) comply at all times with all Government public health, safety and wellbeing directions; g) only access the area of the venue and individual seat that has been allocated to them; h) acknowledge the right of MVRC to refuse entry or request departure of any visitor at any time and for any reason.
