Maloney, rider of BACKTHE ROCK, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding, in that approaching the 250m he permitted his mount to shift out when insufficiently clear of BACKTHE ROCK, which had to be checked and lost its rightful position. Jockey Maloney was suspended from riding in races for a period of 6 days, to commence at midnight, 14 December and to expire at midnight 20 December.
