The policy details all horse movement areas and identifies the limited access to the Mounting Yard, Horse Stalls and Parade Ring areas. 1. Mounting Yard – This is the area where horses are paraded prior to a race and where jockeys mount and dismount their rides. Access to this area is restricted to officials, other authorised personnel, trainers, jockeys and strappers. 2. Owners who have been issued with a ticket may enter the area but must remain behind the protective barriers.
