Rdr reported his mnt travelled comfortably when leading at a steady tempo through early & mid stages, however when another rnr improved quickly to his outside near the 800m, his mnt did not travel as comfortably due to the faster tempo, & after laying out rounding home turn & being buffeted badly near the 300m, it did not close off over the concluding stages. He said on entering home straight he again placed mnt under pressure, but near the 150m he became held up and remained held up before being able to again pressure it near the 50m, but he was unable to fully test it over the concluding stages when positioned close to heels.
