She said that, after settling in a position wide and without cover, her mount travelled fairly, however, was unable to run on or quicken in the straight. She added that the gelding may be better suited being stepped out in trip. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. He stated that his mount travelled reasonably well in this position throughout the early and middle stages, however, after angling around heels approaching 200m, it responded fairly in run to line.
