Overraced in the middle stages and after the 600m was shifted wider after becoming awkwardly positioned close to heels. As a consequence raced four wide without cover from that point, before it laid out rounding the home turn and ran very wide. Race 3 - 1:44PM AVID PM MAIDEN PLATE (900 METRES) 1 ACCLAIM TO FAME 1/09/2020 Newcastle Began awkwardly and shifted out abruptly. Overraced in the early stages and was inclined to lay out throughout the event. A post-race vet exam of the gelding, which was beaten 22L, rev no abs. Tnr was advised that the gelding will be required to barrier trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards before racing again. The colt continued to overrace in the middle stages. On straightening hung out across heels and had to be checked. 7 LESSING 1/09/2020 Newcastle Began awkwardly. When questioned regarding the performance of the filly, which was having its first race start today, rdr std that his mnt was stirred up prior to the event and after obtaining a position outside the leader, in the in the early stages, his mount was inclined to overrace and lay out away from other horses. He added that when runners improved to his mount’s outside in the early part of the straight, his mount commenced to weaken and in his opinion, will derive benefit from today’s debut performance. A post-race vet exam rev no abs. Race 4 - 2:20PM TAB - LONG MAY WE PLAY BENCHMARK 64 HANDICAP (900 METRES) 1 RIFLES 4/09/2020 WyongCrowded rounding the home turn when giving ground. When questioned, rdr could offer no explanation for the poor performance of the gelding. A post-race vet exam revealed no abs. Tnr expressed disappointment with the performance. Tnr subsequently reported satisfaction with post-race condition of gelding and advised is intention to continue with its current preparation. 2 PIPING ROLLER 8/04/2020 Warwick FarmSlow to begin. Raced wide and without cover throughout the event. Rider reported that after being slow to begin he had to make some use of his mount to obtain a prominent position whereby he travelled keenly. In his opinion the filly did not handle today’s track condition. A post-race vet exam revealed it slow to recover. 6 GIDGEE GUY 30/08/2020 WyongAfter beginning awkwardly, was shifted in behind runners. Forced wider rounding the home turn. Laid in under pressure unbalanced the home straight, placing its rider at some disadvantage. 9 PERFECT STYLE 11/08/2020 Gosford Rdr reported that the gelding failed to handle today’s heavy track conditions. Race 5 - 2:59PM EXPEDO 4YO&UP BENCHMARK 64 HANDICAP (1600 METRES) 2 DANCE AWAY (NZ) 4/01/2020 Kensington Began awkwardly and lost ground. 3 ALL BUT GONE 29/08/2020 Kembla Grange Slow to begin and was shifted behind runners in early stages from its wide barrier. 5 NITRIDE 8/09/2020 Scone Slow to begin, then raced fiercely with its head up for some distance passing the 1100m. 8 DOCTOR MANHATTAN 5/09/2020 Hawkesbury Slow to begin and shortly after was shifted behind rnrs from its wide barrier. 10 IVIRA 1/09/2020 Newcastle Rounding the first turn, when racing keenly, was steadied when racing in restricted room between rnr’s. Was held up rounding the home turn and passing the 200m, was steadied when disappointed for clear running between rnr’s, was then directed to the inside of rnr approaching the 150m to secure clear running. Race 6 - 3:39PM HUNGERFORD HILL CG&E MAIDEN PLATE (1250 METRES) 1 FAETHM 18/12/2019 Kensington Overraced in the early stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed to have bled from both nostrils for the first time. Stable representative was advised of the provisions of AR79(4). Trialled successfully. 7 EL BUENA 30/08/2020 WyongWhen questioned regarding the performance, rider stated that in his opinion the gelding was not suited by the tight turning track and would take a fitness benefit from today’s event. A post-race vet exam did not reveal any abnormalities. 10 KERMANDING 19/05/2020 Kembla Grange Held up rounding the h/turn & when attempting to obtain clear running from behind heels shifted out & made contact. A short distance later was inconvenienced, the colt was obliged to race in restricted room approaching and passing the 200m. 11 KOBESTAR 9/09/2020 Canterbury Park COT: To be ridden further forward if it begins well; settled worse than midfield. Shortly after the start was bumped on the hindquarter. Raced keenly when being shifted behind rnrs in the early stages from its wide barrier. Raced wide and without cover from the 700m. 12 MIX 20/08/2020 Hawkesbury Began awkwardly, shifted out and made contact with rnr. Shortly afterwards, raced in restricted room between rnrs resulting in it becoming unbalanced and losing ground. 13 ONE STAR SHINING 25/08/2020 Scone Raced greenly when placed under pressure in the home straight. 15e MY NAUGHTY BOY 8/09/2020 Scone Slow to begin, then was hampered and carried wider rounding the home turn.
